New augment for hulls

This idea is for every hulls except dictator have an augment to change their shift into the zero supply overdrive. It wouldn't be reverting changes. They won't freeze people but will have the supercharge. Hope u guys like this idea it will be so nostalgic :smile:

Well, I think the overdrives were changed because the developers wanted each hull to have a unique ability.

Will the recharge duration of this overdrive be constant for all hulls of does it differ from one to another?

I don't actually think it is going to work as an Augment though. It would rather be nice as an option to customize overdrives. That is you can equip whatever overdrive you wish to for any hull. The charging rate will be constant for an overdrive so whichever hull you equip it with, it charges up at the same rate. Well this can be set like all hovering hulls can jump if you equip hopper's overdrive with them and if you equip hopper's overdrive with any tracked hull it gives you a huge acceleration boost which allows you to kinda just shoot forward like a missile. I think it would be nice like this.

These would've been nice as "Hull Alterations", but sadly Alterations won't be compatible with the Augment system Tanki has today :(

Lol, that was the case 3 years ago...

Nowadays....

  • Wasp, Hopper, and Hunter all stun enemies
  • Wasp and Hunter both EMP enemies
  • Wasp and Hunter both jam enemies
  • Hornet and Crusader both armor-pierce enemies
  • Crusader and Dictator both freeze enemies
  • Wasp and Hopper both burn enemies
  • Wasp, Crusader, and Ares all do damage to enemies
  • Crusader and Ares both have "projectile-based" overdrives
  • Hornet and Dictator inflict supercharge on themselves
  • Mammoth and Dictator both apply a speed boost
  • Titan and Dictator both reduce incoming enemy damage
  • Hunter and Titan both disable Wasp Bombs
  • Anything I missed?

I may be exaggerating a bit but still, the "unique" features of each overdrive nowdays is very minimal.

But hey, at least Viking's overdrive is 95% unique from anything in the game. I hope the devs don't capitalize on it and turn Viking's OD into a new "Berserk" status effect or something like that, similar to how they turned Hornet's overdrive into the AP status effect and Hunter's overdrive into the EMP status effect.

Mammoth disables Wasp's bomb, Crusader's Icicle, Ares' ball and Titan's dome. 

 

Wasp's bomb disables Ares' ball, Titan's dome and enemy Wasp bombs.

I thought of the all overdrives for any hulls idea at first but it will be extremely unbalanced. Think of dictator with wasp bomb or wasp with mammoths OF.  But the zero supply we can know for sure it is balanced since the developers used it once upon a time in the game.

We don't accept ideas for bringing back old updates.

 

But the Developers could make an Augment which can allow us to use the Zero Supply from the past.

Maybe you can put it as a question in this section of the Forum:

Make sure your question is clear. (Not too long or confusing.)

You should put something like, "Hello! In the past, we had Zero Supply Overdrives for all Hulls, but they were removed later. Can you make a new, special Augment, we can buy, that allows our Overdrive to use Zero Supply? Thanks!"

 

Just like how we have the "Adrenaline" Augment for all Turrets, we can have "Zero Supply" Augment for all Hulls to use!

(This can give variety to players, as they now have to choose if they want to use the old Zero Supply Overdrive, or an Immunity Augment. People with Dictator already have the Overdrive, so they don't have this Augment available to buy. But players might want to use different Hulls, like Wasp, because it's faster than Dictator, and it can use Zero Supply!)

 

I kind of want to use Zero Supply Overdrive too. It was fun to use them in the past.

Maybe if we directly ask the Developers, they can give us an answer during the V-Logs!
