yeah.. it's too nerfed..

They wanted to make shaft a mid range turret, but for that kind of combat I prefer using something else.
It already got nerfed too much
The lasers were a big nerf, along with the non penetrating shots.. now I have no reason to use it further

Which turret are you going to use?

 Why did u increase shaft reload time to 10s??

This is insane. all my upgrade was in shaft and now u made it trash. How do I decrease reload time? Is there any augment to get it back to normal?

How much is the reload time then? I don't want to end up spending money on it and still regret. Tell me a better turret and augments etc

Gee Idk how much reload is decreased.  However I suggest railgun and the augment for rail that instantly reloads the turret when you kill a tank, if you want a new turret

Shaft has become a strange turret indeed--I mean it's still the same but the changes really change the feel and approach to it. I'm really happy for the increased range of arcade shots, it's pretty sweet to no longer have to go all the way up against your opponent to do maximum damage. It's kind of surreal to not have to calculate whether it's best to shoot some arcade shots and lose energy or wait for full charge--Now for 10 seconds all you have to do is arcade shots. No decision to make, the scope is charging on its own. It's actually kind of relaxing. As At_Shin said though, now every sniping shot feels extremely precious. I used to do blind scopes a lot before the update (driving to an angle and charging just before you reach it), but I guess we won't be doing that as much anymore.

My biggest question now is whether the LC/Shaft/Hornet combo is still viable. I haven't got to try it yet since the update.

I'm just not sure whether these change actually help active gameplay or not. It's good to reduce the efficiency of camping shafts, but it also makes quick-scoping and blind scoping not super viable. I'm almost wondering if it would not be worth introducing a new version of Light Capacitor with even lower damage but much faster reload?.....

What can I tell you ? Shaft reload is now 10 sec, then 6 shots by minute, a max of 36 shots in a  6´ game ... is like to play chess

  • I have lost 5 hours of premium so far because game is not avaible on goole play. That is probably not going to refunded in any way…very “nice” update.
  • On the other hand, shaft nerf was well-deserved. I remember how futile was dealing with the while on road to legend. No other weapon was as dominant on lower ranks hence why that is my the most used prot. module.
  • Railgun was nowhere to be seen recently. It was really bad no matter what alt. This is a nice change, but I am concerned about those railguns with status effects.

I was constantly on the move, trying to capture points and helping out my allies with dealing damage to nearby enemies. Btw, @Tanker-Arthur, as you can see, one can still perform well in battle using driver.

I still need to test other augments of shaft even more thoroughly and with different combos. Only then, will I either disagree or agree about whether the nerf encourages camping or mobile sniping.

What level is your shaft and drone? I suppose you might not be dealing good amount of damage due to those factors.

 

 

Sheesh I used to use shaft hopper trickster and go mobile. Not gonna happen anymore till the rebuff shaft. I just so sad they nerfed it so hard, the reload nerf was unneeded. I am asking myself whether tanki nerfed it because I bought it xD I am on the verge of tears of what has happened to my beloved shaft ?

I got short band emitters tho so arcade is extra damage ;)

the change on shaft is so absurd , increase reload time to 10 sec while trun it as a  melee turnet.  not playable anymore 

some of playler mentioned camping, but who camping most, magnum  or shaft?  now look at those turnet,  both deal the nearly the same damage per shot but magnum reload time only 2-3 sec?

Which turret are you going to use?

If I stay with a long range turret then probably Gauss, but I most likely will go with a mid range. Right now I’m not sure which direction to go. What about you?

Magnum is crap now, unplayable, 1500 damage for 3 sec reload +3 sec amplification. 

And u are crying coz your shaft got nerf. SHAFT is now balanced

Shaft is not balanced man. I had a whole account dedicated to it with Light Capacitors augment. I could move across the map, capture points, and just snipe people off. Now its totally a different feel. They could have nerfed the reload to 5 seconds and minimized the damage. But no, they just made it unplayable. I had been playing with it for years. (on the second acc). Now its crap. Not that feel anymore.  My other account is useless cz of the nerf cz I used all money through the years on shaft. Maybe have to move on or wait until a buff.
