Silence MM is a hybrid of the two legacy versions of Silence.

I played a lot of matches in Silence back in the day when there were two maps (around 2012 or so). The main differences were the ramp on the side that goes all the way up into the higher base (it was the blue team's at the time) and the fence around the blue base.

The side ramp was narrower and farther away from the base in Silence II, meaning you could fall off if you weren't careful enough. (1:17 in the video) In the original Silence, there was no opening. I remember taking a Gold Box that nobody had noticed that happened to be just sitting on the Silence I ramp.
The fence around the blue base was also completely closed off so you couldn't just jump off. (2:36 in the video) If I remember correctly, this fence didn't exist in the original Silence or was only partly there. I remember sitting on the ledge outside of the fence with Smoky/Wasp and shooting down at people.

I believe they used to give 20 000 crystals, but not sure if it changed in the past 2 years

I highly doubt that they are going to present a cosmetic to be bought by crystals, either it could come in a bundle, or it could be in the last tier of the battle pass.

My guess is that it's either Matchmaking system as a whole or either the new UI transition that is taking place, also more updates are planned to come, hence it is too early to decide which one played the most important role.

At least I used to click "ctrl+shift+k" and write the command in it. But now that window wont show up in the client version. 

I don't think they will put that system back, simply because they have planned to put the "spectator" system for all users (if I remember correctly only the premium ones)

Now that would be embarrassing! However, you can get an idea how few players there are by looking at the stats in STEAM.  Tanki averages about 40 players at any given time. And if you are wondering why it takes so long to enter a battle or why battles are so unbalanced in the number of playesr and the wide spread of ranks, you can darw a reasonable conclusion as to why they no longer publish their numbers! Come on Tanki, prove me wrong! Show us the real stats in real time, not made up powerpoint graphs!

First of all, the current page where you can see the statistics is this: https://tankirating.org/online and second, when tanki has 40 players per day?

You must have some comprehension problems! I did not say PER DAY, I said "Average at any given time on STEAM". wich part you did not understand that I was talking about STEAM? You know STEAM, the site where serious gamers play serious games! Checkout this  https://steamdb.info/app/562010/graphs/  Like I said, I do not want to see a static powerpoint from Tanki, because I do not believe what Tanki publishes because they have proven to be dishonest. Put your online cocurrent number on the server in real time on the game page like other games do. Even if Tanki has 3,000-5,000 concurrent players, it is a far cry from the 60,000 - 70,000 they used to have.

You must be out of your mind if you think "the best development feature" is the MatchMaking system.  The term "Matchmaking" Tanki uses is an oxymoron! 1. How can you have Matchmaking when you have such a wide range of ranks and equipment? 2. How can it be a true Matchmaking when the teams do not have equal amount of players? 3. How can it be a true Matchmaking when you get dumped in to a battle so unbalanced that ends within seconds of entering? I think you are delusionl or you work for Tanki and you say what you are told! No sane person can call that Tanki Matchmaking system "the best development feature".  Actully judging by the huge loss of active players, one can call it the WORST development feature in the history of the game.

chat is currently restricted to teams only due to the real world issue. They said that if we got along they will put it for everyone (general chat). The mobile thing is already planned to transfer everything from PC to mobile

This should not happen and does not happen through the system. The MM system places equal number of players per team, but let's say if the ally team is weak, not performing well, then some players from your team can leave the match in-between. 
Furthermore, if you join an ongoing battle, you will notice that you will join the weak side or the side which has less number of players because previous players left the battle and now MM is trying to equal teams by putting new players in the losing team.

Also u gotta realize, in the enemies team, they dont think of themselves as the enemy. So for them, the enemy teams dont always have less players ?

Or how about giving players some degree of choice wrt what maps they want to play on? Like letting them choose between Small, Medium, and Large maps.

if I remember correctly, the developers said that they would put more maps when new ones are made, that currently, the map tool (for players) is under development.

Every Friday there is a new update, and I doubt they put a premium on the challenges, it is a valuable thing that gives you an advantage in the game, it should not be given that easily
