Bella ciao my long hard earned 360k crys (i planned to buy another MK7 kit but quality better than quantity )

anyway i maxed my drone and accidently spent the rest of cry MU smoky instead of upgrading my modules (i even left my hornet in MK7-1 )

P.S wish me a cont with at least 300k cry average before new year discounts in case i wanted/planned to max it

but it wasn't really a bad decision because in term of kills very effective (especially with my flammable shoots  fire rounds alt)

I now maxed my armadillo module, paladin hull and hammer turret (I have blunderbuss, wyvern's breath, armor piercing and jamming shot as well as other augments). I already had crisis maxed, most protection modules maxed' 6 other maxed hulls and several maxed turrets. No more crystals to spend today.

Brutus is absolutely wonderful. No supplies and battery woes. Doesn't break the bank either. I myself use it only.

I had a blast this Black Friday. Maxed out all turrets and hulls (except Tesla and Paladin) and Tesla, Isida, and Striker protections. Went on a Shopping spree and opened 120 Ultra Containers! Got Tesla and Ares XT along with many augments for Tesla and Hunter (unfortunately I don't even have Tesla purchased). All in all very satisfied.

Seeing alot of scary tanks appear in the game since yesterday and not surprised that everyone upgraded their tank. One scary combination is Paladin and Crisis maxed. Typically I would just stay out of the way of these guys but when i have a mission that requires me to be in the Top 3 for 10 matches, that really is an uphill battle.

There is a certain time window in the day that is just difficult to play when all the scary tanks appear. Imagine seeing more than 5 folks zipping up and down the map with Crisis/Trickster. I can imagine some players must be wondering what's going on. (You should see what they say in the chat)

There should be nothing scary now since Halloween 2021 is gone now. The thing that I am surprised with is that there are no special missions on this Black Friday 2021 event. Why is this?

Yesterday after I upgraded my protections I was waiting this day to start micro upgrading, but I get surprised that there is no MU sales today. I forgot that black friday was just one day, and all was on one day.

Gauss XT is not a normal prize.

In the V-LOG they said all XT and Ultras.

 

Here, they said, all HD Skins, including HD XTs.

I came up with a very fair solution that incorporated their idea perfectly. If you have a MK6 and it was 4/5 then the 4 upgrades you have already done should be deducted from the price.   

Newbies are not scratching their heads over the (very complicated  ) upgrading system, "yeah whatever" and players are actually FOR ONCE getting a fair deal that doesn't exploit them by asking for even more cash/cry that most in situations like the one above, just do not have. This protection has been like this since the change came in, just like the 17 other modules on the 2 accounts I have that reached marshal, (this also includes any hull/turret stuck at MK6.) I had intended to play both accounts and get them to legend, never gonna happen, not now.

2 things have happened since the VERY COMPLICATED   upgrading system was scrapped. 1 I will never get either of these accounts to legend  2 I have no doubt saved a whole lot of cash  especially with the now debunk system that allowed us to compete with our russian counterparts. Maybe the devs thought it was to complicated and decided that making us pay nearly 3X more than the russian players would make it easier for us, yeah that must be it.

OK, a fair point - I was sure that last year there was a "Crazy weekend" running at the same time as Black Friday, however looking at the old announcement it seems I was wrong - we had double funds but only a 50/50 sale on MUs and speed-ups, so the event this year is a bit better I think.

As special missions had not been "invented" before March 2020 (lol) we did not have any missions before then. Although I remember the first Black Friday I took part in, in Tanki had black box golds dropping instead of normal golds in all battles, and at increased rate (although sales were weaker), that was fun! So something cool did happen once on Black Friday besides sales, although we never had missions:

The sales this time were really good, and I took great advantage of them. Although personally I like the fact that Tanki tend to do special missions and a special mode (DM/CP/SJR or whatever) each weekend, which keeps the game fresh as well as giving you something to work towards (and lets not forget the rewards). Now given that the big 50% sales only occur 4 times a year, it feels odd to have events on almost every weekend but nothing at all on a 50% sale event in my opinion.

50% off all items and 70% speed ups was amazing, but with no missions or anything, I felt a little bored compared to during Crazy weekends. I think if we had even normal special missions and DM mode alongside it, players would have thought this was the perfect event. Just my feedback for next time, anyway.

@IMPULSE-WARRIOR I think that you were calling me out for saying thank you to the devs? I'm not 100% sure, cause I missed the message, but I got a notif, I saw the quoted version, and I can read between the lines. May I make myself more clear?

The new upgrading system is terrible in my opinion, yes. I never liked it.

Also, I'm completely aware that my garage should probably be much more powerful than it is. I only have three Mk7 hulls, two Mk7 turrets, and one fully upgraded drone, at one rank below Legend. But I don't play to be a god at this game. I just play to have fun. So I'm fine with being weak. What I'm not fine with is the developers adding in a bunch of new stuff that causes huge discrepancies between buyers and nonbuyers like me. It's really hard, as a nonbuyer, to survive for any amount of time due to all the AP and EMP shots flying every which way. I don't approve of that stuff the devs decided to do in any way, shape, or form. Heck, I have EMP Railgun and I never use it because I hate Railgun, and I hate EMP shots. So I'm definitely not the kind of guy who would simp for the devs at every little thing they do.

The only reason I was thanking the devs is for the sales. I've been struggling to choose a drone, my Isida has been stuck at Mk7-11 forever, I was pretty sure I was never gonna get Striker Mk7, and my protections have been useless cause I can't upgrade them. So when this sale rolled around, I really appreciated it, because I got a chance to up my garage, and get closer to what I should look like on the battlefield. When something good comes around, you have to acknowledge it, no? You leave positive feedback, it might change something, and they might decide to do it again. They might not. But you never know. And I genuinely appreciated the sales. So why not say that?

I'm not mad at you, don't worry. I just really want to make myself clear. There are many things I don't like the devs doing. So when we get something good, I choose to be happy about it, and show some appreciation.

And dont worry you will get your garage fully upgraded in no time ( if you grind ofc) When I was in gismo the only mk7 combo I had was the oz kit (gauss x dictator) but since back then hornet od was op I always used my gauss with my mk5 hornet. Just at legend 9 or something only was I able to get 3 sets of mk7 prots. But I feel like its more easier to get more equipments now than before as back when I previously played tanki (back in 2016) it was extremely hard to get m3s so I had to focus on 1 combo(not on this acc, this acc is new). Also about the drones I too use brutus mostly lmao , my rest of the drones are at 4 or 3 upgrades.

If you go from Magnum Titan + Protection :  MK1 to MK7 it will cost way more than 380k even at 50% discount.

At legend 6 account, I have no equipment above MK7 10/20 (except brutus), but I do quite well, as I have like 6 modules around 40%.

AP / Stun / Emp augments are totally broken. And Crisis drone, and the 4th module slot.

Back in the day before all of these gimmicks, it did take longer to rank to get to gizmo, which is the way it should be now when you are grinding towards legend.

The devs say they want to take TO forward, to move with the times and not be static, hence the new interface, new HD skins, futuristic (TANKI X) maps etc. What bothers me is why do they have to change things around so often, bringing in new updates that have nothing to do with moving forward with TO.

The new upgrading system has nothing to do with "moving forward" and everything to do with cashing in as much as they can on something that affects a huge proportion of the player base and leaves them with no choice but to either spend cash/cry, or end up with a vastly weakened garage when they do reach legend. 

The changed upgrading system is 1 of a multitude of changes the devs have made that has nothing to do with "moving forward" with the game. As for eventually getting your garage fully upgraded, when that "eventually" happens the game would have changed so many times that your garage will be lacking in so many things it will be back to square 1 all over again.

Unless you can keep up by buying your way through the ranking process and onto legend, then your experience in TO is going to be a one were you constantly end up getting trashed by the buyers who have everything maxed way before your average player, months and even years compared to a lot of players.

If you genuinely play for fun then none of this should bother you. If you are a player that likes to compete and takes TO seriously (the next level) then this should bother you a lot and "thanking" the devs for discounts in the garage after all the lame moves they have done to players is imo paying them lip service, which is one thing I will never do.

They want genuine positive feedback from me, then they should start acting on players advice and stop bringing in these updates (gimmicks) that only further destroy any chance of competing against the prolific buyers and stop changing the parameters of the game every other week, further weakening the majority of players accounts.

TO is no longer a "game of fun" it is a game of cash V luck and you get more luck the more cash you have. This is what TO has become so "thanking" the devs is a non starter for me.

@IMPULSE-WARRIOR That's the thing. You've hit the nail on the head when you said that if you're playing Tanki, you've got three routes to go. One, you're a F2Per who just plays for fun. Two, you're a F2Per who takes the game seriously. Three, you're a buyer. (Need I say that buyers take the game seriously?)

I fall into the first category. I just don't care that much. I mean, I do care some. It's hard to have fun when you're getting shredded by the godawful Hopper + Crisis combos. But that's the whole reason I play, to have fun. There's a reason it's called a video game.

Now, there's a lot of people who fall into the second category. I'm guessing you're one of them. I sympathize with these people, cause I'm actually a very competitive person at heart. And like you said, with these people, thanking the devs is a no-no. I get that. Because the devs cater towards the third category, the buyers, who are willing to spend their cash on the game. And unfortunately, that never ends well for the non-buyers. Oh, and then, as soon as the non-buyers figure out a way to fight the buyers, the devs come in and take that way away, so the buyers will be more tempted to keep spending cause hey, what do you know, Tanki cares about them and wants them to do better than everyone else.

But every now and then you get something that the devs do for the F2Pers. Case in point, this Black Friday. Because they are still a part of the playerbase, albeit, if the reports are true, a shrinking part of the playerbase. And I guess there are a couple different approaches you can take towards that.

You can approach it like the first category (hello) does. Hey, look, something good! Maybe the devs will listen to us if we give them good feedback and they'll do it again! It might be hopeless, especially knowing the Tanki devs. But I try. (It helps that I'm an optimist.)

Or you can take the second category's approach. The devs don't deserve our thanks, cause one little thing doesn't make up for everything else that they've done that's wrong and bad. Another fair approach. It all varies depending on the person.

I won't try to change anyone's mind or any nonsense like that. I just wanna explain how I work. And I hope I explained how others work, too.
