Creating a health buffer zone

So in some games, when you use a repair boost or anything of that sort, it repairs you. But it will also give you more health then you typically have, but only for a limited amount of time. I am suggesting that this be incorperated into tanki. So say for instence, you  had the lifeguard drone activated. It gives 3k health units back, but some hulls max health is less then that. I am suggesting that extra health be added for a short amount of time. This would also work for repair boosts. Now im not sure if giving the full 3k health to a 2500 health hull is good for game mechanics, so it could be a percentage of the health that would take place. In comclusion I am saying that if you are given a health boost that is more then what your max health is, you would get an extra health boost for a few seconds. That would then disappear, and go back to your normal hp max.

If you have half of your health in example, and lets say you are carrying the flag, you don't know if you have to wait for your health to get lesser then using the repair kit, or you may get a railgun or shaft shot who will kill you so you have to use the repair kit promptly.   This is also why auto-supply system in mobile don't know when to use the repair kit.

But with your suggestion , you mean players don't have to go into this baffle, they will have the wasted health as an exceeding health for an amount of time.  Honestly I don't see myself with this suggestion, you have to use your repair kit in the best time you can benefit from it.  And your point about lifeguard drone, you can read it backwards and lets say in example that lifeguard will restore the full health of medium and light hulls but not the heavy hulls.. So the +1000 hp isn't wasted.

I am not a fan of this idea. Why? Sure having the ability to have added health is great for a limited time when using a repair. The only problems I see with this is that it would give the mechanic, Lifeguard, and possibly engineer a little too much power to be abusable. Also when paladin also exists in the game currently.

It  is only for a short period of time: 2 or 3 seconds maybe. A little casual movement around the map and it's over.

It's either an OP so we don't want it   OR  Very minor thing like 2 or 3 seconds so no needs of it.

I think to prevent the unfairness to drones such as lifeguards, a mechanism can be worked out as this way. Of the total amount of health left, only half of it can be applied. So let's say you used the repair kit too quickly and now approximate 1000 hp is extra which is to be accumulated, only half i.e. 500 can heal you within those 2-3 seconds .

Even if the time is short many people would still abuse mechanic by each using a repair after one finishes using the supply to cause HP chaining and especially lifeguard. Being able to instant repair after the lifeguard user sustained damage. The better solution for lifeguard would be to add a cooldown on its repairs after the drone has been shortly activated to prevent the abuse for this particular case.
