In memory of Face (Levan)

On the 8th January 2022 a member of our community, a friend and a leader. He had his life taken away from us due to the conflicts happening in Kazakhstan recently. He was unfortunate to be caught in the middle of it. His nickname is Face, for those of you who played eSports probably know who this guy is. Face was a talented eSports player and leader. His skills were unmatched. He also established one of the most successful eSports clans ever, Vavilon. Outside of Tanki, he also had his own family, a wife and an 8 month old son. He was a caring father and husband too!

To me, he wasn't just a great player but an awesome friend who believed in me when others didn't. I have many great memories with him. One thing I will never forget is that when I just joined Vavilon in 2017, I was shy and didn't talk much during clan trainings. To break the ice, Face told me to say something in the call every 10 seconds or so. I wasn't sure what I was suppose to say, so he told me to simply say the word "pizza" every 10 seconds. It always brings a smile to my face when I think about it.

 

I've made this topic for those who'd like to send their condolences to him and his family.

When I heard the news man I was speechless Levan. Why you of all people? 

You were someone who I looked up too back in the day, a great leader of a team winning the paint we all love... Acid... When I think of acid, I think of you and the team that you built behind it too. You won it so many times and made it impossible to get. You motivated me to get it as much as you helped us in trainings and tactics too! 

 

Remember the days with our skype group called the Orange Crackers? It was a lot of fun sending random stuff in it and the late night playing games together. Will cherish those moments forever. Will miss you man, take care <3

When someone says Face, it always reminds me Levan, player, who controlled all TOF tournaments, leader, who has built the strongest hard format clan in the history of this game. Levan was a great leader, phenomenal player and amazing person. You brought me into professional eSports scene, I'll never forget the day when you gave me a chance to play in Vavilon. I too as in many never got to know him , but did go into battles over the years with him ..just lie the same with many others.

for what he accomplished in tanki is a legacy which should be remembered . for all the comments that I have read he seemed to be a very respected member of this society and will be greatly missed by his piers from e-sports to regular battles .

Wow so shocked to hear this, even though I didn't know this guy - my deepest condolences to his wife and family at this time of loss :( May they know God's love, comfort and protection. I hope that they will be safe in the midst of this, sounds like things are really in a terrible way in Kazakhstan.

Lovely words, it sounds like he was a cool guy all round. And yes a tournament or winner's paint would be awesome, something to pay tribute. I hope his family will have the support and protection that they need at this time.

This shows the fact that life is very unpredictable, nothing is permanent. Tanki lost a skilled & a professional esport player as well as the world lost a wonderful Father and a husband.

Despite that few years ago I have banned him from taking parting in eSports tournaments, I truly believe that people change and I am more than sure that he wasn't the that bad person I used to think he is.

 

His death made me think that it is bad to judge a person on his online behavior and I would like to apologize.

I have been thinking about death quite a bit lately; it is sad to see a member of the community pass away. It is unpredictable when any of us will pass; it is important to cherish the moment we have with each other. I have never known him personally, but hopes his soul rest in peace. Also, condolences to his family, hope they can cope, this must have been a big blow to them  it is good to see that he made a positive impact on the community. R.I.P, my hat goes off for you Face. Я с ним был очень хорошо знаком, больше 7 лет общались и играли вместе. Исключительный человек, особенный, талантлив во всём. Сильный капитан, хороший друг, способный игрок. Страйк выше написал, что многому у него учился, это правда. Я не исключение и я уверен, большинство игроков Вавилона переняли какие-то его качества. Насколько мне известно, человек он был аполитичен и грустно мне от того, что погиб именно такой смертью, совсем молодым. Мои искренние соболезнования его родным и близким..

Вавилон - это на всю жизнь, а ты человек, который его основал. Никогда не забудем. Покойся с миром брат

Despite not knowing you or your family I can already tell you're a down to Earth person, after speaking to friends of ours I can clearly tell you had a massive impact on their upbringing in this world and I can assure you I wish I could've lived up to your name! I hope you're at ease and can sleep well brother, you have a new path in life now and that's to lead your son and family to be safe and not make any mistakes. Although life did come short for you that doesn't mean a second will go by in life we won't forget about you.

I've never met him and it was perhaps a mistake of not knowing him. He was surely a great person and I don't have any doubts about it. I am very sad of having this happened, especially if my friends are sad about it as well. I always trust my friends, and if my friends know he was a great person, then I'm also sure he was definitely a great person. I'd like to give my sincere condolences to his friends and to his family.

 

Death is nothing else but going home to god, the bond of love will be unbroken for all eternity.

As a passionate follower of Tanki e-sports, hearing this detrimental info was heartbreaking. Watching Vavilon dominate in 2018 was incredible, seeing Levan obliterate people in TOF's was a supplementary addition to my life. Seeing another brother lost due to the arduous state of this world is despairing. Rest in paradise, Levan.
