In fact devs set the 990 Tankoins and at least 300 stars to make it harder and costly for sabotage!

And right now it means that people are going to spend Tankoins, will make more battles and will spend more time in the game in order to get more and better prizes.

So, for devs it's always a win-win solution!

I think the main problem with this event lies in the fact that buying stars will still increase your count (and therefore the average). If you want to grind stars then fine, but it's pretty easy to artificially inflate the number of stars just by buying.

Most of the heavy grinders and buyers are going for Team Jumper. (Not my screenshot)

Don't lose hope though, it wouldn't surprise me if people jump on the Jumper bandwagon (no pun intended) during the last few days or when they finish the Special Mission for 300 Tankoins, killing the average.

It also wouldn't surprise me if things change over the weekend. I have 894 Stars and I've been only doing Daily Missions. I'll have more time to play on the weekend, so I'll be able to get more Stars since I generally place towards the top of my team.

I have a q , why did the devs not include Ghost_Animators in the youtuber battle ? I like them a lot, since I am f2p guy (I also don't donate money on streams) , I used to collect gold boxes from containers and drop them for everyone who joined the stream . However now since gold boxes are no longer available, this would have been a nice way to support them.

Probably due to his inactivity for the current period. There are many other YouTubers in the EN local as well as RU local which didn't get a chance in this event. This is my plausible guess, the real reason might be completely different.

Just made this to test my thoughts.

The gap between jumper and the 2nd place and the others is very big right now for team JUMPER so he would still be first. Ofcourse mutch can change since we just started.

I predicted here 10% more players will buy the pack of everyone and only earn 300 stars. Additionaly I predicted 10% more on those 110% from jumpers team will join because he is on top. All new players will only earn 300 stars. 

This is what will happen:

Important: the gap between JUMPER and the others got way smaller because of this. I think if there would be more than 10% additionaly members ( winner pickers) he would lose.

Also keep in mind the difference between 300 stars and the average is not that big right now as it will be in the last days of the event. So the higher the average the more differnce the new players ( 300 stars only) will make.

Interesting statistics indeed.

What I wondered could happen aswell (although I´m way to lazy to put it down in excel like you´ve done), is that some tryharders from jumpers team could decide to solidify the position by making mults and buying the bundle with 300stars for the 2nd (eg. taspens) team. As taspens has only 224players, these mults will have a significant impact and in fact would be a more efficient way of ensuring victory then buying stars for their own team.

Now I want to clarify I don´t encourage anyone to do this, as 1 it´s probably against the rules and 2 it is pretty lame and deplorable, just thought it could be an impact factor not many may realize at first.

Well yeah, what I wanted to emphasize on though, is that sabotaging a team with 200players is much easier and cheaper than one with 1500members.

Again, all of this would be resolved if, as proposed by other players, the participation limit was drastically increased or at least the bundles pulled from the store days before the end of the event.

This is my point of emphasis too, if the bundle could be removed even 5 days before the end of the event, there won't be anything to get afraid or scared of.

One more thing I'd like to bring up to maybe discourage players from buying the 1st place bundle last minute.

By doing this you are actually risking much more than players who bought the bundle in the beginning, because they will still get a nice reward (from the stars earned) regardless if they win or not. But because you will only have 300stars or so, you are risking that if the team you chose last-minute ends up second (because of many doing the same), you will get no reward at all.

This is the issue with the event, although I’m really it, it’s sad to know that it can be manipulated by a credit card. I have no doubt that if team Taspen starts closing the gap a large number of jumper players will just buy stars or other bundles to affect the average.

Yes, stars will only count after you have bought the bundle and your participation in the event will only be possible if you buy the bundle and then earn 300 stars successively.

Yes sabotaging a team with less players is easier then buying stars on the team which has more players. I dont know how to explain in more detail but thats how it is.

Which is why the smart players will not buy any bundle. Because even if you are on the winning team, the container statistics are either totally wrong or they are rigged on purpose. So don’t expect to get even a single legendary from all those containers.

Also this event is nothing like the Tanki Fund last year, where iirc you didn’t even have to have any Stars, you just had to be on the winning team to get all the rewards including the 4th slot + other stuff I can’t remember off the top of my head.

I mean, some of these events such as the Tanki fund last year seemed worth it, but after the container updates I think this event probably isn’t. Just my personal opinion.

Just a friendly advice, if you're thinking about buying the bundle now, save your tks and wait for the tanki fund in march.
