Does micro-upgrading a turret/hull decrease the price when upgrading it fully?

Hey guys, I couldn't find the answer to this anywhere. I tried looking at the wiki and it says that if you fully micro-upgrade something, it will become free when you reach the rank needed in order for you to fully upgrade it.

However what happens if you reach the rank BEFORE you finish micro-upgrading it? Like lets say you have MK-4 Viking and you do your micro-upgrades. Then when you are halfway on your micro-upgrades (MK4-5) you reach the rank to get MK5. So would you get the MK5 discounted or have to pay the full price?

You have to pay the full price for it. It will only get reduced if you have fully upgraded the hull/turret.

If you fully micro-upgrade it, the upgrade to the next stage (eg. mk5 to mk6) it will be free. Hope I helped:)

in old days, you can get discounts even half way MU,

but now, you can't,

----

unless you have enough crystal to microupdate all the way to max in one discount sale day, dont microupgrade, not worth it for free player, as at current speed of rankup, you most likely will rank up early and past the unlock rank.

so just buy next modification next time in sale, only Microupgrade after you get MK7, which is last modification.
