I bet the so call new box design is just reusing the assets from TX.

Turns out I was partly correct. The gold boxes are heavily inspired from the TX version while the rest are different.

Also, it sounds like the Devs want to disable equipment change in mid battle eventually. If that's the case, I really like this. I can't even count how many times 80% of the opponents just decided to switch to 50% Vulcan protection mid game, just because they think I'm the most threatening one. And all the sudden, I deal 50% less damage to almost everyone.

Yet I don know many will be very disappointed with this change

Nice new design of bonus boxes, still don't know the true reason behind equipment cooldown change ?

I mean, they spent most of the time talking about history of equipment change which I bet 90% of the audience don't really care, instead of explaining the reasons behind such decision, which obviously everyone will want to know about.

They will most likely explain the entire subject in following episodes, trying to keep players in suspense, for better or for worse.

“reusing” and “heavily inspired” are two completely different terms. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

Or they don't want to explain it or have nothing to say....

Did I say there is anything wrong?

Also, let me remind you it is 2022. If graphic of this game wows you, you should really take a look how online games supposed to look in 2022. Currently, the so call new box designs and UT skins are merely improvements from "potato graphics from 2003" to "what a 2010 game should look like".

Yet, it sure is a major improve, given the current box design is literally a cube with 10-year-old textures on it.

That is because u just have vulcan which is k7-20. For me, my turrets are all above k7(not k7-20 of course), which means if equipment change is allowed, I can have a various playing style, including changing a module against the most threatening enemy(If so, one can change another turret against me right? I believe the legends who just have one turret above k7 is a minority). I fully understand the Devs who want to make the game more team-oriented and more fair, but I believe it will be a cost for most players.

This game is much different from the game back in 2013 and 2014, now the status effects can really turn the side of the game. If the equipment change is 4 min, the players can react fast, and if it is banned, the victory will likely to be decided from the beginning of the battle.

So, my suggestion is to make the equipment change faster(less than 7 min but more than 5 min), for the following reasons.

1. As I find out in China forum, (Yes I am a Chinese player myself ) most players are not really happy for making the equipment change longer(At first I thought there could be some sets that you have already chose before the game so that you can change in battle without entering the garage. This could be a way to rework the equipment change)

2. To make the game more balanced. Now, the status effects could turn the side of one battle. The winner is much more likely to be the team which can deal more negative status effects to their enemies. For many times I am the only one in my team to have a gs over 9000, but I use emp gauss, and the enemy do not have any emp immunity or other status effect against me. Even though they are more skillful, they lose for sure. So if the change is allowed, the players can have a chance to save them from defeat.

3. To make the game more playable. In my opinion, fast react is a part of the game. If one enemy is over powered, it is reasonable to change the module against him right? This is the reason modules are designed.

If I am correct, now we still have one chance to change. It is acceptable, but if the change is not allowed, I predict the game will lose many players again(including me, and many other Chinese players.)

Allowing too fast equipment change could ruin the fairness for battle, but I think allowing 2 chances to change  is better. It not only ensures the balance, but also the fairness.

As for the reason to longer the time for changing? I guess the Devs want to make a new system(like some sets in the garage), or they just want to go back to the original game.(Bad idea I think)

So for the most part, we are 1 man short, having a bunch of low GS dudes and a damn camper who never leave the base

I think shorting of one or two players is the most serious problem that make the game unfair. I quite agree with you because I, for SO many times, endure such experience for a long 15 min(Some end pretty fast though). Sometimes I think the game wants me to lose. Even if I leave this battle, the next battle is likely to be in the same condition.

By the way, two more thing

First the box rework is perfect, it is clear that the Devs are planning to make the game better. (Personally I don't really care whether the outlook comes from TX or not)

Second, the payment methods like visa and mastercard are banned. So may I ask for some other ways to buy tankcoins? (The leader of my clan is considering using China Unionpay and he is trying to contact with the helpers)

New supply boxes look really good. I'm excited to see those supply-drones and new box designs in Sandbox Remastered map.

Boxes are lovely, I am not so sure about the drone type of things carrying them, but I guess I should wait for the final result before judging.

First of all, the designs of the boxes are very cool, and the idea of the drones, very futuristic, I love it!

with the equipment change:

Well, the truth is that if they put this system to change, only because of a bug, I think it is better to do as it was done in the beginning, no changes since, as they said in the vlog at that time, you entered without knowing what you would find, so you had to put on the strongest and there is only 1 balance. But if there is the system of changes in battle, various balance changes can occur. Think this:

There are 3 mk7 firebirds (with 1 with incendiary mix, another with the same, and the 3rd without hull alteration. We can say that the 3 with anti-AP) in the blue, so we will have:

2 with a lot of damage but without burning and 1 with normal damage, without subtracting or adding

and 5 mk3 firebirds in the red (2 with compct fuel, 1 with high pressure pump and 2 with incendiary mix) and here we would have

2 with a lot of burn, 1 with more firing range but normal damage and 2 more with a lot of damage but without burn.

If it were only those, it is clear that by number the red team would win, and the blue one could not be changed to have something from his stronger garage. now, what if blue has the 2 incendiary mixes who are esports players? very good ability and a lot of damage, here possibly if there are no good players on the red team, blue wins by ability. This if there were no changes and there is only 1 balance, the one you see there

With the changes? well, if the players with the most firebirds see that they can't win because those are from esports, instead of going hand-to-hand they would make the decision to start camping or take a long-range turret, something that those from esports also know They would be forced to change and possibly they don't have long range skills, and then the battle would change in favor of the red ones.

In conclusion if you enter a battle that there is only one balance and that you do not change that

New UI, redesign after redesign, aka fluff fluff and more fluff. We don't want fluff. We want actual updates that have meat to their bones, not just a release of an new augment or some crap.
