Shoot the bonus boxes

Hello, once again I am here, to give an idea for the game, and it is the following:

With the announcement of the new design of the bonus boxes, I had the idea that when it's going down, to be able to shoot the drone and it will be destroyed, then the bonus box will drop faster. For the drone not to be destroyed with one shot, I could have a type of energy dome and with x shots, destroy that dome, and then yes, the final shot that would finish the drone and make the box fall faster

My main concern is this would require hit boxes to be added for those drones. I am afraid this may mess up the vertical auto-aim of many turrets where it could keep switching back and forth between enemy tanks and supplies boxes.

Opinions of others will be highly appreciated.

Also, it's unfair to melee range turrets, which won't be able to hit the drones. And Striker, Magnum and Tesla will have a massive advantage due to the way their turrets work.

Also also, this would require a substantial amount of work for something that barely adds anything to the gameplay, and definitely doesn't bring in direct revenue.

I had to check the V-log to express may opinion.  Disagree with the suggestion because it's unnecessare. And as the two above me said, it will need a new work for it. We already have a bug when you enter the battle, the dropped box animation don't catch up with its real altitude.

Sounds like the idea will consume a lot of resources, probably make a new game mode  "shooting the drone" in which this mechanism could be implemented with some tweaks.

I think this idea sounds pretty unnecessary and has no reason to be in the game. 

The best I can say about this idea, should be an option to be applied in a PRO-Battle which can be used in Events?

 

Also, like others have said, complications.

  • Accidental aims to random boxes, angles of shots.
  • Shaft diffs. Other Turrets need to aim specifically at the angle for them.
  • What will happen when a Gold Drops? Like @Maf said, RIP to melee Turrets.

So after reading the feedback of other players, I have to decline this suggestion.

Even though it is a nice idea, it would introduce many unnecessary complications and potential bugs. Also there are concerns about the fairness towards short-range players and changes to gold catching dynamics.
