I think I know where its going. They'll likely make it like this soon:

Did we really require an equipment change mini-series?  For them to give it so much attention and try to set the stage, you know the punchline at the end is going to be awful.

For once, I am really beginning to agree with the Developer's opinion of Equipment change. I've honestly had bad experience with equipment change in general. Also, I would often run into opponents who are playing in groups and puff, they would quickly change their equipment rendering my OP augment useless. (What's the point in owning an OP augment if it really isn't effective)

I am pretty sure in one of the previous vlogs the Developers mentioned about introducing Loadouts sort of system. If you are familiar with Battle Royale games you must be aware of what Loadouts are.

Well, whatever it is, it doesn't really change the likelihood of it being a P2W feature.

Well, I'm sure if loadout is gonna be a thing, you will get one loadout slot for free and then you will have to spend tank coins to get more loadout slots. And the more slots you have, the next slot requires more tank coins to unlock.

What angers me the most is that they are locking equipment changes at one minute increments at a time and it’s been like this for MONTHS!
There have been no news of introducing presets.

Their reason for locking changes is like what you said and it’s easier to leave. But what the hell is the point of locking. If you run into a buyer with counters with your Augment, you don’t even get a choice to change YOU MIGHT AS WELL LEAVE! 
If I find a player with a counter Augment, tbh I’d prefer being able to switch my gear in hopes in countering theirs and play this “poker” game some guy mentioned in the vlog. Why tf would I want to stay in a 15 minute game where there is a risk of entering a match and my gear is trash?
 

Me when I do missions now space bar, or AFK to finish matches
 

TL:DR

Tanki as usual, stays true to their reputation. Every update links to Pay To Win, or not knowing how to properly handle their game.

Each time there is a new p2w change, i wonder how will the next p2w change would look like. Each time they surprise me. I bet next p2w change would be buying a full maxed garage friend who can group with you. That friend would be either a trained (or not) tanki team member or either a powerful and well programed bot that will bring you victory. Each friends would cost 100$ for the first one, 300$ the 2nde and 1000$ the third one.

Nah, you overestimate the Devs. It is too challenging for them to make it happen.

I mean when one of the criteria of whether your idea will be considered in the idea and suggestion section is whether it is easy to implement, you know the Devs just want quick money with minimal effort.

 

My guess is, sooner or later, they will start selling the Lord protection module for US$1k

Exactly what i was thinking. All this tripe about the changes through the years is to try and justify the ultimate change they will hit us with, which because it's TO, will be over the top, unwanted by 99% of players and will somewhere along the line cost players cash, as it always does.

The V-LOG team man. What the heck is this. Literally this V-LOG was the worse I've seen yet, besides the one minute one they release a couple years ago. Just the event mode for this week and useless news about equipment change.

I always only watch the part about discussions/development records, which is part2 in this video. And ignore all other parts like sales/events (which I read them in the official topics) - eSports which are not interesting me - question of the week which is very repetitive.  But what can I say..! It's a weekly V-Log and I think it's hard to present alot of interesting things every week. They tried in the past year to fill the gaps with records from their HQ - showing some of development process.

All of the reasons together have made me stop watching them from months, unintentionally.

Episodes 1-100, the best with Semyon Kirov, Episodes 101-200 was still very nice. New Turrets, many balance changes that make sense, fixing MM and stuff. Episode 201-300 all downhill. The most influential changes to modern Tanki started off very well, but on and on, less and less content. Just Ultra Weekends and stuff. Personally, I don't care about the eSports section since it's always the same, unless it's a Tanki Fund. That's pretty much it. No news.

Don´t count your chickens before they hatch, there might aswell be another trilogy concerning what will replace the equip change .
