Colour changing cosmetics for turrets.

Colour changing effects for turrets. Such an effects mechanism will differ accordingly to which turret it's applied to, due to its connection to the mechanism of the turret.

For an example: twins and ricochet each shot is different in colour, giving an excellent experience. But for melee range turrets effect  changes while shooting, it displays various of colours. not every time it stops shooting it changes. But as for magnum, gauss, thunder and railgun , it's splash will have a delay. That splash delay will display various fades of colours. But for striker and shaft every shot changes just like twins and ricochet.

Valid

Just so I understand it correctly, you want to add new shot effects, which will alternate in colour between shots / splash explosion etc. ?

Personally I am not a fan. You could already argue the game has become filled with flashy colour and effects (from skins and animated paints to different shot effects) and I don´t think it is a good idea to push it even further. I don´t think a ´´rainbow´´ shooting out your turret would add anything positive to the game experience, as far as the visuals go.

Despite what I just said, please share your own opinion ? .

Nah it's just something that came to my mind. It's interesting to see.

From the point of the resource factor, making variable shot effects in the duration of shooting for every turret possessing shot effects is a very tedious task.

Moreover, I am not personally a fan of this rainbow idea, which changes the colour mid-while. But I would like to see some new colours, which could be a mixture of some previous basic shot effects.

What I would see as interesting though, is if the the individual shots would have a slightly different shade of the colour - as in real life, nothing is quite so consistent. Also plasma turrets like rico or twins could have the the brightness of the shots higher when leaving the barrel and then slowly dimming down as they approach their max range.

@frederik123456 @NikmanGT I'm the type of person when he sees a certain aspect of a game, good or bad, I would like to see it at its highest, regardless of its benefitial or not. Shot effects are kind of a bit childish so I would like it at its best. Rainbow is more childish, wouldn't that attract the kids of this game. Certain updates are for a certain age group, so no one cares as long it does not affect the game Ballance.

It's not about balance, never in my posts I mentioned that it will break game balance, or is a "bad/worse update". The point is that different types of shot effects already exists in the game for nearly each turret (and by different I mean a lot). So when the game already has multiple shot effects, mixing all of them (combined) is one of the things that the Developers won't go out of their way to do it.

Twins be the new discoball while freeze and firebird will have some RGB/rainbow flow LOL, imagine that with the new lighting effects

That's more like it, interesting to see right?

I know it's complicated ? so if it was implemented it means Devs can implement my upcoming idea varient effects. Also I never said you said anything about damage regarding game Ballance. I understood your posts! I meant it has nothing to do with game Ballance so it does not need double thoughts regarding it.

How is this even needed? Can someone explain to me?

It is just another way to exemplify or enhance visual effect's to one's liking. By your statement, even the current shot effects, shot marks shouldn't be needed, how are they even affecting the game you can say, but they make the gameplay much more visually interesting and provides something realistic at the same time.

I feel if this Idea is implemented, a new shot effect called "spectrum or rainbow" could be introduced for each turret which contains the above idea of multiple colours at the same time within one shot effect.

That is true, although I don't think you should have endless possibilities at your disposal, because it could get quite ridiculous visually.

@frederik123456 thanks ?

Things like this will just show how much the devs are capable of. It also can become the highlight of effects in general ?

I´m not dismissing your idea, just saying we should be a bit warry and not go overboard with colours.

Hard to explain, maybe a language barrier, let this gif be my messenger ? :
