What is Wordle?

Wordle is a web-based word game created and developed by Welsh software engineer Josh Wardle, and owned and published by The New York Times Company since 2022.

How do I play?

Wordle is simple: You have six chances to guess the day's secret five-letter word. Type in a word as a guess, and the game tells you which letters are or aren't in the word. The aim is to figure out the secret word with the fewest guesses.

There is probably a Reddit for this, but in our little community, I'm curious if anyone here plays it too. Wordle is a daily game, and there are similar "le" games out there.

If you figured out the daily wordle, share it here!

why did you choose to type codex though? you were so close guessing the right word

I'll try to explain as simply as possible, because it's a long and dumb story...

So I like to use "Hard Mode" (players compulsorily have to use those letters which have been guessed correctly by them, and green letters must be used in their own place) in Wordle even when it's not on :x

Also, this happens to me many times: I can clearly see that a letter is yellow in a certain position, but I think of a word in the next second which seems plausible to my mind even though it has the same yellow letter in the exact same place, thus risking a complete wastage of that attempt. It's weird because I don't think twice before typing the word quickly and tapping/pressing <Enter>, and I regret my word-choice immediately after that... ?

So — "codex" was my attempt to eliminate a few more letters to make my life easier (and to deviate from my habit of using Hard Mode even when it's off), but I guess my life is meant for taking L's ?

Initially I wanted to say that there are not too many words that start with the letters  s h a, but I searched on Google and found at least 50. So never mind that.

Picking a random word to eliminate some letters was a good choice then, however the letters  c o x were not the most useful ones to choose.

But why didn't you try this one first though...?  ō_O

True, but then I didn't really have a choice, because "codex" was the first word I could think of from the remaining letters (and when fewer letters remain, it becomes quite difficult to form words without repetition)...

I didn't try shaft because I had already used T in "myths".
