Definitely a mistake.

I guess one of the programmers wasn’t paying attention when the rewards got removed.

I haven't blocked any transaction I made. Since I bought 20k tankoins, bought the main bundle which gives you 100 more energy. I used 180 energy in total and I used that for the event. Since I was at 0 tankoins when I bought the bundle, I gained more from the event which was now taken back and resulted in a negative balance

Hello all! I'm back with a probability simulation post.

I wanted to use probability to model the mini-game, but neither of my approaches worked. If you're interested, here's why:

• The first was modeling meteorites with indicators and calculating expectation based on the likelihood of hitting a meteorite and being hit backwards. This does not work since the meteorite locations are deterministic and thus indicators to calculate where they would not make sense.
• The second model was a Markov chain that listed each step as states (with the exception of meteorites, which had 2 states - active and dormant) and had transition probabilities relating to the probability of hitting each next state based on the past state. This does not work since the game does not obey the Markov property of independence in a Markov chain, i.e. past steps should not affect current steps, but they do.

NOTE: the following were based on priors thanks to the wonderful @emrakul and may not guarantee correct results. If you would like, here they are:

So the most viable method was simulation. Based on the priors from above, I created a function to essentially "play" the game multiple times. Here it is:

From there, I made some simulations on how much energy you needed to reach the last three checkpoints, and here are the results:

 

I've also created my own simulator that you can use. Simply input the amount of energy you have, your current steps, and your goal, and it will calculate your end steps and likelihood of reaching your goal. (You can use checkpoint[index] zero-indexed to reference the checkpoint you want to reach, i.e. to reach checkpoint 4, you can put GOAL = checkpoint[3])

An interesting simulation deals with the amount of energy a F2P player can possibly earn. For most F2P players, checkpoint 4 is nearly impossible to reach, so if you wanted Crisis and Armadillo, you had better make a wish to be part of that 0.2% to reach checkpoint 4 without spending a single dime.

That's very unfortunate, Tanki doesn't care how much damage they do to player's accounts. Their main goal is to take everything away first and try to fix whatever they broke later

Tanki Online developpers being selfish and removing every stuff I got from the bug of the event. At least give a compensation of 200 or 300 free turns, but of course, selfish is the word describing your team...
