As a player of tanki online for nearly 4 years, I have noticed that some of my favorite things about tanki from 3 or 4 years ago can longer be accessed due to updates of the game. Some of these things make me want to quit tanki or lessen my enjoyment of the game.

This is where we can discuss some of our favorite things about tanki online that are no longer possible due to an update or died over time (the game itself doesn't count as "dying over time" because it is too basic).

Besides losing some of my friends over the years, and the fun in battle list matches, I don't really have anything that was removed.

There is one very obvious one I can think of and you could debate this is a two-in-one.

I remember back when you could buy product kits and I remember waiting for nearly 3 months for voltage kit to show up in the shop on my second account. I remember checking the kits every time they changed just to see if they made voltage kit. I remember being very excited when I got it on my second account and it was my first M2 on that account. The username of my account is Bowser_Jr and you can check my profile as proof that I bought the kit. The kit was railgun M2 + dictator M2 + falcon M2 + Electra paint (my current level of my railgun and dictator is mk7 which is M3).

I am not the only annoyed by the removal of product kits, that's great to know. In a way, I actually enjoyed the mk conversion because I had hammer M1-10 (M2) and it was converted to mk5-0. I then thought it would be funny to micro upgrade the crap out of hammer and mk5-10 at warrant officer 4. I practially had mk6 at warrant officer 4. I got the real mk6 hammer about 2 months ago when I reached the rank to get it. It was fun clobbering low ranks with mk6 hammer and dragon breath alteration.

The update that removed this was fairly recent. 

I am a noob for this, but I am sure there are other victims of this too. I remember when you were able to collect shards for containers. I was used to get on once a day to open a free container everyday as you automatically got the shards you needed every 22 hours. I could farm supplies, crystals, augments, etc. on my lower ranked accounts and be very strong in battle. One of those containers gave me hunter prime on my second account! My younger brother got thunder XT from one also! 

Technically, I can still do this today. However, it is impossible to get exotic skins and now you have to spend 1,230 crystals to get one and you usually receive 1,000 crystals. You are usually losing 230 everyday you buy one!

Was this for parkour stunts? I remember when you could scale climb walls with hopper. Now that was fun and led to some broken spots to get to! They patched that exploit and I was disappointed until I heard from Bowser448 that you could use duplet for hammer (which I had) and lightweight construction augments. I only had it for viking and he said that he had it for viking on one of his accounts and it worked for viking. Shortly after parkour flips with duplet hammer and lightweight viking, I got lightweight for wasp and that's better yet!

Cool maps like Crash and Gallery.

They should just add a bunch of the old maps back. Who cares if they aren’t “optimised” for MM… it’s not like there are a whole lot of players left anyway.

Well a bunch of old maps, the Flash Interface (not Tanki's fault but sadge in general), along with nerf to Booster and defender, old hornet OD.

In 10 years of tanki i have lost:

-friends in the game (they ALL gone)

-money 

-gift (memories)

- idk if someone remember, but when alterations were released, there was one that has the same mechani  as vampire isida but with a less % that was maybe 15% of the damage you deal are restored, i lost this alterations because it was removed

-i lost some event opportunity to get some items i always wanted like old fire DC a d armor of thankos paint, also some challenge that were juicy.

-i lost time too, because playing video games is losing time when you could work out on yourself irl

Like bro. Hopper lightweight was the LAST Augment I was missing for it, and I deadass recently pulled it when I was streaming to my friends last weekend LMAO

The good ol' shaft with no laser. Tbh I was one of those people that enjoyed this to the max. I remember that people would insult me or swear a lot in battle chat because I would use shaft to kill them. XD I miss the no laser shaft. I knew it was broken, but hey can't blame me for wanting to abuse the heck of it to get people  raging to tears xD. This was years ago, but for some reason I thought it was actually kinda funny to have no laser shaft well it lasted. 

This was one of my guilty pleasures xD

Old Overdrives are probably what I miss most, if friends don't count. The days of simple Tanki were the best.

I also miss the Isida's shot effect, the oldest as in the lightning one, really brings back nostalgia.

if you look closely, the "link" of Ares's overdrive is exactly that.

I miss being able to climb on top of certain places with Ricochet and/or Thunder. 

 

But honestly, I really miss the old, simple game with just a few turrets, supplies and nothing more.

I miss small battles, I remember just how much fun Island, Wave, Combe and Hill used to be. Generally miss the old maps noone plays anymore because of MM, like Deck9 XP/BP, preMagnum Noise, Subway, Canyon, Gravity.. .etc
