A Tribute To The Contests And Helpers

After a long absence of contests, the developers recently removed contests from the game, probably forever. That made a lot more than a few tankers cry out in protest. I just to have a place to remember all the good times we had together Basically a grave for the late contests.

I'll never forget the people a hung out with every week, playing chat contests. The brainy @brainhoo, the lucky @ShamelessAimer, and just the plain old cool @DestrotankAI9. Also the old friend CRUSSHER ( I never was sure how to spell his name lol,) who havent logged on since January 9, 2022, if i remember correctly. 

Special thanks to a few contest organizers who - probably- helped giving questions and handing out prizes, @Marekos1111, @Sabry.Superman, and @Alfi. Of course i never knew for sure if they helped with the process, but i have hunches (i used to ask those contest_organizer dudes their tanki nickname but they almost never replied lol)

And @Marekos1111, sorry about your losing your adminship  pains me to see you as a regular helper. I will really miss seeing your big-headed avatars in the forum.

Thank you so much for the kind words. It is really unfortunate such thing had to happen... Pretty sure I am now speaking for the entire Contests Team, we appreciate every single one of you who took part in these contests regularly. 

Oh yeah and by the way, Marekos isn't the only one who lost the admin position.

Yeah, it was a great journey, great moments and we're more than glad that you enjoyed our contests. We really appreciated every single chat contest especially when that nub candidate joined chat contests (what a nub). We had fun judging your entry and seeing so much creativity, it was always a pleasure to help players with solutions in case of technical solutions, expecting some entries but seeing shiny entries and saying "wooooooww". We, contest organizers also had so much fun in the position and I really wish it isn't  forgotten

I wasn't really an avid participant in official Contests, but I've had my share of fun times. Started off with "Comic Captions", which I believe was what brought me to the Forum in the first place! I also remember "Design an Avatar", in which I had got a consolation prize or something (by the way, this contest was the inspiration behind "Design a Helper", a Newspaper contest!). I had tried image-editing for the first time while creating my entry for this contest! 

And then I became a Reporter, so I didn't get a chance to participate in anything lol. But, we also had Competitor — although all of it was handled by Person_Random and Dynasty (20H12) from the Newspaper's side — and I remember how much fun everyone had. "Competitor" was an elaborate contest of sorts conducted by the Contests, Designers, and Newspaper teams together, in case you didn't know about it.

It feels very bad that Contests and Events had to be discontinued... Made some amazing memories and friends along the way...

i think they made a huge mistake removing something that gave players an opportunity to enjoy the game in a way that is different from playing in a matchmaking... especially since it literally cost them nothing to begin with.

It is me  I was Contest Admin alongside with Marekos since like mid-October 2021.
