Lock-on status effect

This effect apply to enemy by turrets with locking mechanism (Striker, Terminator, Gauss, Scorpion, Shaft). It like constant (like Paladin's AP effect) if locking is still in process and wears of about a couple of seconds after the target hides. For locking turret user ang his team it gives Hornet's radar effect on target.

I think there is a merit in this idea as this effect could also be used as an indictator you are being lock-on. That would be very useful, mainly after the addition of Scorpion turret.

You mean to say if the enemy player hides before the lock could get completed, he would be shown in the map as in you have applied "Hornet OD" ?

Hmm, mayhaps I  misread the OP a bit. I think this effect should only be applied for the duration of being locked on and should be displayed as a separate indicator to the player being locked-on.

Then, if the enemy is notified of being targeted or lock on, how is the status effect helping the player, isn't it making the situation worse ?

I still don't understand the concept of hornet OD in this situation. @The_Resistance Can you explain it in brief again ? Or edit your post to make it more understandable ?

On the one hand it is indicator of being locked on (i think Shaft must gone from my post)

On the other enemy team can see the shilouette of locked tank for 2-3 sec (not HP). Maybe do it like burinig status: its duration longer the longer time tank was locking.

Okay so let me summarize, the player gets notified that he is being locked on by the turrets having this status effect...

Furthermore, the targeted player gets visible to the whole enemy team for the time, as if like he is under the Hornet OD effect ?
