Was it by any chance an isida? There is an augment called Vampire nanobots, that allows you to self-heal while dealing damage to your enemy.

Adding to that, the 2nd case would be of the "Hyperion" drone, which cuts the cooldowns of supplies and let you heal yourself every 10 seconds.

Ok sorry I just understand that the orange numbers are critical damage. I thought the player was dying.
