Are you at a disadvantage at Mk7+ if you don't use a turret augment?

Question

I use Shaft and thought I'd get Rapid Fire Mode. Apparently it makes scope mode shots much weaker. I want to also snipe though so I thought I'd switch between RFM and original. Will I be at a disadvantage using original?

If you have absolutely no unique augment to use for your turret and the turret does not have any worthwhile to buy, it is advised that you get the Adrenaline augment for it.

No you're not necessarily at a disadvantage if you're switching back to Stock. Stock and RFM serve different purposes.

it depends on who has max shaft modules in the battles otherwise either buy heavy capacitor or adrenaline

I like my Shaft to get stronger at short range so I'd be more versatile. Is adrenaline the best augment for that?

Sounds like RFM could be a good choice then.

Stock when I want to snipe, RFM when I want to be aggressive.

Do you think RFM is the best augment for short range battle with Shaft?
