Matchmaking is likely the most popular feature in the game and I am sure that we have all spent many hours playing it. I feel that matchmaking could possibly be a factor in the number of players quitting the game.

Here is where you can discuss necessary changes that should be made to the matchmaking system to improve it for ALL players.

To be completely honest, matchmaking is an absolute joke in this game!

I would change that statement to say that it is a HUGE FACTOR.

My opinion about bots is that there are more of them at lower ranks and fewer at higher ranks. I'd say about 25% average for bots.

To be totally honest, I am always put in battles where one team wins within 7 minutes. I seem to always go against hackers too, but the issue with hacking can be discussed elsewhere.

I feel that I often I have bots as teammates because I am not that good at tanki and I still do better than a good number of my teammates.

I don't know if you're friends or a one person with multiple accounts.  Nevermind backing to the topic, MM have rare balanced battles, whether a not equally teams or even a low GS players against high (even if teams were equal).  Battles should stay 15 minutes only and only if they fixed the missions (so I voted for 11-15).   For the last question, I don't know if you mean the Viking-Thunder noobs or you mean REAL bots, as I think you mean real bots I voted for 0%.

There should be a short-cut button to leaving a match you don't like to search for a new one.

I almost always leave and join matches many times until I find a map or matchmaking I like. Right now you have to press tab to see the gearscores, then escape, "leave map", "play", "battle modes", then the mode you want - when you do this process 10+ times it gets quite tiresome.

Instead

  1. Show the board with gearscores automatically when you enter a match, so you don't even have press tab (make it so that moving your tank makes the board disappear)
  2. On this board, have a button for "search for a new match" - this leaves the match and starts the search for a new match with the same battle mode, or random battle mode, if that's what you choosed in the menu when you clicked "play"

Now the process requires only 1 single mouse-click, so looking for a match you like is as non-irritating as possible.

Also, it would be good to see what hulls and turrets players use on the board. Why show augments anyway when you don't know what turrets they use? It's weird.

Maybe show their paints too so you know if there's a particular tank you wanna watch out for.

In my opinion, matchmaking has only one major issue, and this is the far too big rank brackets. While this is a serious issue through all rank levels, the issue is most bizarre where Legend players are frequently matched with folk who cannot even access mk7 gear.

And to the initial question: There are no "bots" or "mults" in matchmaking battles. I wish these conspiracy theories would just go away, because they distract from properly addressing things. There are incompetent players, there are players with technical issues, there are plenty of players with maturity and character deficits. But "multing" is virtually impossible in the MMS, and this is one of the system's greatest advantages.

They're friends and I'm the fourth and final member of that group.

Back to the main idea, I feel that there are quite a lot of problems with matchmaking, but then again, I kinda enjoy trying to find ways to avoid them.

I share a similar view. I think there are less than 5% at legend rank and close to 50% for the first few ranks. I voted from 11%-20% because once you reach warrant officer ranks, I'd say there are less than 10% bots from that point on.

It has become unbearable, to the point where I see 3k Gearscore players matched up against literally maxed out GS. Same with me, my most powerful loadout is ~5.1k GS and 9/10 times I'm paired up with(or against) 9999GS players. How well do you think I perform in these matches?

It's sad that Tanki has become what it is right now with the generic money-grab tactics and the playerbase has fallen tremendously, which is why there's no similarity between players' GS and you get matches like these, where you want to rage quit as soon as you open up the scoreboard..

I feel that GS is commonly though of as game skill, not gear score.

With that being said, I see max gs players who still can't even turn their damn turret. That's call using mommy's credit card.

You cant turn turret on mobile version of tanki, especially with hover hulls

If you see me with vulcan auto shooting on on crusade w fire immu

You will see me keeping shoooooting from start to end without turn turret and keeping shooting even no one around, and with 9999 GS

I have another issue with matchmaking that hasn't been brought up yet.

There are maps such as Berlin, Dusseldorf, and Chernobyl that are just too big and it creates a lot of lag and certain objectives are near impossible to complete.

I feel that matchmaking is random and there isn't much that can be done to make it perfectly balanced.

I honestly feel that 15 minutes is a bit long for a matchmaking battle. Maybe 12 minutes is better?

I feel that the issue with the bots is that there are more bots at lower ranks and fewer at higher ranks.

Another thing that I think needs to be changed is what maps appear in the matchmaking system.

Possible solution: Have players fill out a survey if they wound enjoy playing on each map and maps with over a certain percentage of players who don't enjoy playing on a certain map, gets removed from matchmaking. As a motivation for more responses, offer a small reward to all those who submit the survey.
