what a shame on the developers

You do realize that that's a 7-year difference, right? Most games don't even survive 7 years. Players come and go, doesn't matter if it's the best game or not.

The whole concept of Tanki is just outdated.

in my POV, the game has a potential core which will make the game grow more than all these 13 years past. it actually will gain its players and new players back once they start advertising it. patience is required.

With every update, I enjoy the game more than before. Tanki online fundamentals such as supplies and crystals once was really hard to gain those past years (around 2012-2016) as if one like me had to choose a battle from list which would be easy for me and also I had to play with out supplies bcs either I had ran out of supplies or had to save up!!! whereas these days almost every body can easily gain supplies via shop and containers and weekly containers as well as crystals.

Hence, TankiOnline is always growing better and better.

focus on quality more than the quantity, some updates may increase the player base but it may matter in some cases i have some examples but not allowed to talk about them ?‍♂️

No it won't, im also having fun in tanki, does that means the game is fun in general? No its not fun at all, the only reason i have fun in this is because i have full maxed garage, you have 9999 gears too i checked ur profile. Each newcomers that will come will have to face the rank spread, recruit being matched with warrant officer 5 etc, they will have alot of confusing stuff to learn, what is AP or EMP? What makes ap different of emp they both disactivate protection, many confusing things they will have to face. They won't know that the best strategy is the focus on 1 combo in the beggining therefore they will end up upgrading everything and having a weak garage. Thats why you should not see the game at your perspective (9999 gear) but more like from a newcomer perspective. I started some new accounts not so long ago, but had fun, because i knew what to upgrade, what is the best strategy when u start a new acc, but those new players doesnt know all of this.

Tldr the game is confusing, filled with bugs, and unbalanced rank spread have destroyed the fun in this game.

Don't even compare minecraft to another games. Its a force of nature, the game that is just flat out built different. Minecraft is different from almost every game in a way that you can do almost anything, only limitation is your own imagination... I started playing MC in 2014ish im still having as much fun in 2022 as in 2014 why? because like i said you can do whatever you want there are no rules. except the new moderation system that is somehow worse than tanki's moderation system maybe. I see Minecraft being populiar in 2100 bruh. Pubg i don't play so i don't know but from what im getting its just another generic "shoot and hide with a little twist" game like fortnite CSGO all that. Pubg only gains more players because of the hype around it eventually it will die just like tanki. Tanki is bleeding to death because its not the new hotness or the amount of content it has (even though their "content" is probably just container drops and couple turrets/hulls) sometimes having a lot of content is bad because new players just don't want to bother thinking it will take 50 years to  get half of the stuff done then there is 0 balance in tanki because of our beloved Hazel guy and many more problems. Tanki survived for 13 years or whatever and its a big number for a game.

the most online players they had was around 60k during their peak era, not more than that. And it was an event i guess. now 7 YEARS passed. And now they have 5-6k daily players but in 2015 it was like 8-10k, it is still pretty good....

Minecraft has an active modding community and tons of huge content creators recording gameplay of it, getting lots of new players in the whole time. You can't compare these two.

PUBG went from 3+ million daily players to maybe 300k, that's a pretty bad example. By the way, PUBG represents not even 0,002% of all the games on Steam alone, do you think the other 99+% are as successful?

And as someone else mentioned already, Tanki being almost 13 years old is already a pretty big achievement. Player numbers always decline at some point, there's nothing you can do about it.

This game is quite fun at times but a few issues should be resolved (priority).

1> Make sure the server is totally stable and able to withstand these DDoS attacks. Also if the server can't handle large number of players on the weekend, they shoudl

upgrade them.

2> I think there is graphic glitches with tank to tank collision. Like I shouldn't be able to drive thru a team mates tank, it makes the game look tacky.

3> Yes, they should try to market and advertise to bring in more players.

4> This league they have could be improved. Like this other game I use to play alot, been around for 20 years SubSpace Trenchwars zone (2d MMO spaceship

shootemup which had an automated league with match bots to handle league updates on the website.  https://twd.trenchwars.org/

Yes, this game has much potential and quite an accomplishment to be running for 13 years.

Yooo Cyber its me Dokan!

This is what they have to do.

1. NEW CEO The second Hazel is the new CEO Tanki slowly started getting more and more goofy (in a bad way) is this a coincidence? Could be but what are the chances?

2. Fix all the big visual/gameplay bugs like invisible railgun shot, you going through tanks etc.

3. Revert BAD Updates that don't effect paying players. Enough with "we dont revert updates" nonsense. Revert all dumb updates that nobody asked for but everyone hates like Container nerf for example. Sadly EMP, AP update should stay since it effects paying player base and removing status effects even with a big compensation it would be bad to say the least.

4. LISTEN TO THE DAMN PLAYERBASE! You don't need to listen to everybody and add 999999 tankoin boxes and all the crazy nonsense some people suggest. Make a new "Fan Features" page or something where people can suggest updates and vote for the ones they like. Then all tanki needs to do is add the most popular feature with a little Pay to Play twist because its a free to download game so it needs money. Both sides win.

5. Balance the game. Locking augments until WO1 is good but after WO1 only Garage augments should unlock, Legendary ones should unlock maybe at Brigadier or Marshal rank. This alone would make the game way more balanced at least until the end-game.

6. New player friendly tutorial with tips like upgrade only 1 conbo or EMP does this and AP does this and blah blah blah.

7. Don't talk about updates that you know you're not going to add until year 2122. New UI is a good example they showed and hyped up new UI for like 8 months till they finally released it. Oh wait they only released 1 out of 80 parts of new UI.

8. Advertise the game now that things are stable. Flexing that the game is 13 years old alone would make people want to play it. Also reverting bad updates would bring back old players. The game has the potential to become popular again imo

it's surprising that a P2P game survived that long while F2P game gets horrible few years later like the example you gave

BTW i almost got shocked about the 2nd part but relaxed when i saw ''steam'' the pc version and mobile version looks almost the same XD

The difference is that in games like Minecraft for example you pay once and from then on you have all the possibilities, like everyone else.

Tanki however... Vacuum shells is all you have to say, I guess. It's literally banned in certain countries for gambling. Of course one is more popular than the other ?‍♂️
