I like this idea on making players discover the game of Tanki Online. Good idea. This will pull in so many new players into Tanki Online. The more players join Tanki Online and the more successful this game shall become.

That list has said the iOS app is “work in progress/planned” since about 2017 or so. It means nothing.

So it's easy for you to develop an app, right? or do programming, or make a game, it seems very easy, right?

Wait, you’re saying it takes FIVE years to port a game over to a mobile OS? ??

I play another browser game, one with a German dev team, and there have literally never been any technical issues and they listen to player concerns and act on feedback. Moreover they conduct polls before major changes and let the playerbase decide if big changes to the game are acceptable.

Name? need something else to play apart from tanks in free time

Well it would be if they concentrated on a couple of important matters at any given time pertaining to the game, right? instead of the updates that no players want and that only cause problems whenever they come out...right? Stop defending the indefensible. The developers have crippled TO, this is a fact proven time and again by their ineptness to get anything right first time. They are supposed to be the experts when it comes to making the game playable, right? Do you think we criticise just for something to do? no, we criticise and rightly so because they bring most of the problems that infest TO on themselves. You are typical of a yes boy, whatever the devs do is for the good of the game and therefore the players, right? wrong. Get a grip on reality and see the game and the developers that run it for what it is, a money making cash grab aimed at their favourite players the buyers, with no thought given to the rest of the player base, unless you count new shot effects etc, then everything is "A" ok, nothing to see here, just keep spending wads of cash and ignore the errors and anything else that goes wrong and all will be fine, possibly, maybe, probably never really, but keep spending anyways.

What a joke, right?

You think 5 years is a reasonable time?   ?

I think this idea is great, I do; the game needs to be able to bring in and retain new players, especially since I'm sure people are getting tired of playing against the same people/combos all the time. BUT, this could not have come at a worse possible time. The game has gone under recently TWICE because of ddos attacks and even now, the core issues still don't seem to have been resolved. It may not have been intended but this just makes it come off to the playerbase like they don't really care about the actual current state of the game and instead are looking for more ways to increase monetisation.
At the very least, address the current situation and actually put a permanent solution to it, even if it takes a few days, or a week to do so. Instead of keeping on putting band aids all over it. Who knows, maybe it could be something even more massive than I could imagine and that may not be enough time but the point remains that this thing needs to be addressed much better than it has been. Only then can I be fully on board with the devs going full throttle into advertising and marketing but right now, at this moment, it's not the time and to come boldly to say that this is what their big project is and what they're dedicating so much to, is frankly a slap to the face as a player. It's like they're saying they don't care about our playing experience.
You CANNOT bring in new players into a game that is fundamentally broken, they just won't stay. You may see an increase in numbers in the short term but these players will not be around after even 1-2 months of playing if it stays that way. So, please, find a permanent solution to the more potent issues first, then, worry about bringing in newer players. I can't wait to be able to face off against some fresh competition but how can I do so when I can barely even enjoy the game right now as it is?

- Fix connections

- Needs advertising

- Fix bugs

- Release updates on time

What's new?

It doesn't take five years  ?

Tanki has always announced the IOS version of the app will follow shortly after the android version was released... 5 years later and still isn't out, they don't even mention it anymore.

I actually created a topic in the "Questions & Answers" in 2020 asking about the IOS version, two players responded assuming they dropped the project, an actual helper/mod actually never responded only closed the thread. I guess that was my answer "They dropped the project".

But anyways how much longer should it take? 5 more years? I don't think the game will last that long.

Will there be more special V-Logs like this one in the future? If so, why did you not add an episode number to this V-Log? This V-Log should be named as "Special Episode 1".

Just now I played a TJR game and encountered a bug. My Kensei was self-destructed by the game system, resulting in losing the game. This is not someone's intention to self-destruct. I've been JR twice, and I know very well that I didn't press self-destruct.

THIS IS A SPECIAL TUTORIAL V-LOG.

ALL THESE UPDATES CAUSED YOUR JUGGERNAUT TO SELF DESTROY ITSELF BY THE GAME'S SYSTEM. THANKS FOR REPORTING IT, AND LET THE DEVELOPERS KNOW THE ISSUE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THIS IS A BUG. THE JUGGERNAUT TANK SHOULD NOT SELF-DESTROY ITSELF WHEN PLAYERS BECOMES JUGGERNAUT. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT CAUSED THIS, HOWEVER, THIS BUG MUST BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY SO THAT DEVELOPERS CAN FIX IT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

THANK YOU, "JOKER_0216" FOR LETTING US KNOW.

Sounds like you have auto self destruction on. Go to Settings > Battle and its in there.

I'd check just to make sure. When it was added they enabled it for everyone. You didn't have to turn it "on"  they already did it for you.

That or you start lagging extremely bad and it will self destruct you I noticed.

By the way, If I can offer something, you need to advertise Tanki over the internet so new players will come.

In the past I saw some ads of tanki into other webs I were in but not anymore and I think it can bring new people to our town.

Friend brings a friend is a nice tactic but I unsure it works these days..I know many old players who just did a new account because they were bored or looked for a new start (by the way, it's a point too- why do we get only one container when we reach a new legend rank? Why not to give us something more special every a few legends?)

These are my thoughts for now ?

it's better also to re-enable referral link system before this

You are actually right. For people who are doing this type of jobs for living, it is indeed easy to do all those stuff.

For programming, it takes me 3 days to learn TypeScript.

I'm not too good at developing mobile apps, but I can develop a website within 1 week. If you don't believe me, go to fiverr.com and see how many days does those freelance developers promised to deliver a website.

As for developing a game, yeah it is hard to maintain a legacy framework, but this is the rabbit hole Alternativa has decided to dig in. So shame on them. As for modem frameworks like Unity, man you should take a look what my classmate has accomplished with his school projects when we were still studying in university. There is literally a start-up company walk to his booth and ask him whether he has considered polish the game a bit more and make a good fortune with it. Remember, it is a damn school project that my classmate is only gonna spend time on it when he is not in class.

I know you are a helper (or whatever the Russians called you) and there are some regulations that you have agreed to follow. But if you don't even know how the industry works or what you are talking about. Just don't say it.

people that are suppose to make IOS tanki do these things for a living!!!! its not different language or whatever its that they're lazier than a goddamn..... something.

I mean just look at their own VLOGS they say "oH wE hAVe tHis nEW UpDAte!!11" and then they show complete update with all the graphics done and all the testing done but guess what! THEY DONT RELEASE IT FOR 5 MONTHS FOR NO REASON. What the hell are you even doing? you literally have everything done just copy and paste the damn code or something bruh

Also, the decision of spending efforts on making a tutorial or some sort that is aimed toward newcomers is very weird.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that there aren't many "real" newcomers to this game. So what’s the point of spending considerable efforts on something that is expected to bring minimal benefits in return? I really can’t think of any factors that will make this decision worth it.

In fact, Alternativa decided to make a video once per week is weird enough.

For (1), usually, only big companies will have the resources to be able to manage the game (i.e. their project/product) itself while spending effort on making promotional materials themselves.

For (2), usually for a project this small, and is not that active in development (it is not an EA), there simply aren't that many things to share every week. And as we see, in recent years these “Vlogs” started padding with stuff that most people don’t care about.

I'm not sure who are the upper management of this company. But I have a few questions to those folks:

Do you have a single clue of what you are doing? You do realized that TO is the only project that making your company alive, while the rest of your projects are pretty much a failure, right? You do understand the consequence of failing this last project right?

I think this is a very cool idea. Because now, if a newbie goes into a battle or a garage, he will understand almost nothing, because there are almost no hints. At the moment, the player has to find the techniques himself, figure it out himself, he has to take and read the characteristics of the gun, body or drone himself to understand whether he needs it or not. At the moment it's very boring, if I accidentally came across the game "Tanks Online" and played two or three battles, I probably wouldn't understand anything and would just quit the game. So yes, I find tips and different newbies very useful, I like the idea. I will note only one thing, do everything in a simple way, so that even a three-year-old child immediately understands the essence of the game, that this or that gun is not long-range and that the drone cannot shoot and kill opponents.
