Game is suddenly laggy and very slow - is it my computer's fault or Tanki?

My laptop used to be able to to run Tanki smoothly on the lowest graphics settings. Recently however the game is very laggy (up to 1 sec freezes) with very low frame rate, and it's always like this.

I'm not good with computers, so I'd appreciate any help. I want to keep enjoying Tanki!

Hm, do you think there's a possibility of Tanki making even lower graphic settings as options? For those who use [edited] office laptops.

Let's not curse. However, yes, there is such an option on the settings in which you can lower the graphics quality.

Probably not the answer you're looking for but it might be time for an upgrade.

There is sadly not much you can do to improve Tanki's performance. Make sure that your laptop is not running in battery saver mode, and that's basically it. You could of course try reinstalling or clearing Tanki's cache, but I'm pretty sure that will not really help.

In these battles, are there a lot of projectile-based turrets? I've found that turrets like Twins, Scorpion (if there are multiple campers), and especially Vulcan (I call it the lag gun) can bring down the FPS a bit with how many projectiles are used.

Yeah, you might be right.

You can download the game on the home page. Go to https://www.tankionline.com/en/ and click on download, next to play.

I have had way less problems on the client so far, you should try it out

I know, I always play with all the options de-selected and the lowest graphics possible.

I don't think it can be made even lower than this. I believe the reason is because currently when you're on the lowest graphics it's already very blurry, making it even lower would be totally blurried and you wouldn't really anything in battle.

Post the specs of your laptop

Then it'll be easy to tell if its a hardware bottleneck or some software junk on your pc that is reducing performance
