What's your opinion on the delay before removing a destroyed tank from a map?

This is the single most frustrating thing for me about this game right now aside from teammates bumping into you when you're trying to aim.

Thought this would be a quick experiment but seems like it's here to stay. 

Does anybody out there actually like having destroyed tanks getting in the way?

Hate it. Last week I had a moment when a teammate died in front of me on a narrow ramp on Kungur, and I was stuck there helplessly for the full 7 seconds, just watching the enemy players casually stroll away with our flag. I had overdrive ready and couldn't do anything abut it. That lost us the game.

It's fine in modes like TJR, CP, SGE and TDM, but extremely frustrating in capture modes, where being able to quickly and efficiently navigate around the map is essential. The dead hulls just add unnecessary uncertainty to gameplay. The only good thing about them is that I can shoot them with Thunder to damage otherwise unreachable enemies hiding behind or nearby.

I asked Opex Rah about this and he said that analytics show that most players like the feature. Oh well...

If you are defending enemy attack, you will like the dead body feature, as it delay enemy right in front capture point right in their face if you die in front of them,

If you are attacking, you hated it, not only dead body block you bullets like ricochet but also prevent you move forward,

Sometimes in mobile, i have to turn my gun not aim at dead body, so not wasting bullet on enemy hide behind dead body, especially with helios on mobile with auto fire on.

Sometimes i would rather not shooting enemy infront of capture point, so i can walk around them or push them while they are alive.

Freeze and fire seems can shoot through dead body.

There is times enemy dead body accumulate one tank distance before capture point like RGB, because of delay of dead, and keeping dying of incoming tank block the whole point for like 30sec

While my opinion may be unpopular, I love this update. Your positioning before dying has a lot of impact on the gameplay now which is something I find important. It also reminds me of the old times.

I asked Kimura about this and he said that analytics show that most players dislike the feature. My analytics are more credible because i saw at least 1 player say they don't like it. I don't like it myself too! whopping 2 people disliking the feature means 100% of the game hates this feature! ?


What analytics? How is he suppose to know that people like it? What they don't touch the dead tank or something? There was no survey or anything even close to that and all i see is 99,9% of tanki hating this annoying feature. Because you see being forced to stay in one place for 5 seconds with this new "twins ball has enough damage to oneshot a mammoth" era is a little scary sometimes...

Annoying noob update. Genuinely would like to see that "statistic" like where was ever anything like this even researched is absolutely beyond me. I guess calling 4 likes on an update forum topic is sufficient enough these days for making such statements xD

To put this thing and call it a "strategic update" in a game where people used to fly over the whole map with Hopper is ridiculous. If anything it just further benefits this camping playstyle because everyone just sits in base, so you can barely even get into the enemy base anymore because once someone dies, his scrape metal just sits there for eternity.

This feature is annoying to deal with. When I was playing rugby yesterday, there was this one wasp player who kept going over to whoever had the ball and self destruct so their dead tank would obstruct them from scoring. He did this to me twice and I just watched him do the same to my teammates. Needless to say we lost 2-4. 

I thought about going over to pro battles channel and report him for sabotage but a few players lurk around there all day ready to bully anyone who reports a violator. Mf was lucky I don't know how to record a video... I used the vote option and of course nothing happened.

Stupid update with stupid dead tanks.

Two days ago was in a CTF battle. Finished 0-0 with 10 versus 10 players. My team going in attack (about 5-6), enemy just camped in base (8). They rest of my team was defending, because enemy got 2 Paladins that used Overdrive all the time to get our flag. My team changed to 2 Vikings with Thunders with Booster drone. Overdrive used, but 7 tanks (SEVEN) run to flag and just died. 2 Hornet from my team NO chance to get it. Really ? What crap is this ? And we did that 2 times in same battle. 7 dead stupid tanks standing on enemy flag, no chance to get it. Dead tanks gone, all 7 tanks spawn and my team dead before touching the flag...

This update is more of an annoyance than a benefit. 

I was trying to collect lollipops for the special Halloween game and it was probably the #2 thing (#1 related to gameplay) that annoyed me while completing missions. The real #1 was getting moved back 5 spaces on the board which is irrelevant to gameplay. Still able to go around once. I might get a 9999 GS without ever spending a penny on this account!

On one hand, it is extremely rage causing, especially in maps with tunnels like iran. I was plsying a scope ctf and BRUH its so hard to get at the flag. 

On the other hand it may create awesome opportunities for new parkour tricks, because as you may have noticed tanks dying in mid air from a critical hit tends to have their hull stay aloft in the sky. That can serve as a ramp ?

however the impotant thing in tanki right now is gameplay and blockades FROM YOUR OWN TEAMMATES definitely dont help. In xpbp as well, a dead carcass may cost you your life as well. So a downvote from me.

This update makes the game mechanics more complicated and I am rather new to the game still. I personally don't like this update and hope that tanki removes it or changes it, so it is less of an annoyance

I actually like it too, just the weight/friction of the tank corpses should be slightly decreased.

Dead tanks are just another blocker to capping in CTF and RGB which is already too difficult now.  It helps campers when campers need no more help in current meta.  I'm fine if they are still blocking objects but make it dramatically shorter (1-2 seconds).

I don't really care. They're fine most of the time since I play Control Points 99% of the time and I usually kill enemies at a bit of a range with RRE Striker.

The time they bug me most often though is when I use my Crusader's overdrive and I have to figure out a way to actually hit APed enemies and not a tank corpse.

I don't like the update either, or at least how it is currently implemented.

Both crucial and inferior movements during gameplay have become unnecessarily difficult and awkward, up to the point that I can no longer say that the pros are outweighing the cons. There are plenty of places on various maps with small widths that make it impossible to manoeuvre through once blocked by destroyed tanks. Taking a flag/ball from a destroyed team member and returning your own flag has become a nuisance; at some moments it isn't even strategically anymore, just plain annoying. I have no idea how many seconds the dead tanks remain on the ground, but most of the time it feels like ages. 

To improve the implementation of this concept and also prevent gameplay from slowing down, I suggest reducing the delay of removing destroyed tanks to only a few seconds. An alternative solution could be to reduce the weight of dead tanks (although I am aware that would be physically illogical).

it's a bother because i've been used for 10 years to wrecks disappearing after a couple of seconds, so my brain will just completely ignore the fact that it's blocking me most of the times and i just ram against it like a headless chicken. Pointless update honestly, made with the excuse of the "jack in the box" effect. 
I don't see any problem with a tank disappearing even if the turret is still flying in the air, it's just a death animation, it doens't have to necessarily last forever, especially in a game where EVERYTHING oneshots you or kills you in like 2 seconds and it is required to be fast to avoid damage, heal temmates, get a capping score, etc. etc.

I like the little bit of realism tank corpses give, not that TO is realistic. Yes it's annoying but it sort of adds to the fun at the same time.

What isn't fun is the imbalance. I'm around 8400 and so many games are full of drugged up ODing 9xxxs and I feel I've done ok if I end up on 4/23. My 7-15 Titan constantly getting one- or two-shotted by any weapon on any hull gets a bit monotonous. I think I even got one-shotted as Juggernaut once.

But anyway, tank corpses are fine in comparison.

Yea same, I see a thunder opponent killing me in 2 shots, I get thunder protection, still die in 2 shots
Immediately after, I see some noob firebird+wasp ripping all 2450 points of my HP in less than 1 second

And then my next death is to some gauss who cant even turn their turret, isn't even using any supplies and they still 1 shot me somehow when I had double armor on

Now repeat this cycle as you said - for every turret, an accurate representation of all my games

I think this is another example of devs not listening to their players.

Despite countless people raging at the fact that they have to wait a good 5-7 seconds before they can pass through or shoot through has just made it annoying. In some sense i get it, position your tank so that you annoy the enemy or block the flag from being returned. However, thats what teammates are for. Play strategically with your team mates without having to deal with constant dead tanks infront of you. Its soo annoying, i have been chat banned because of how much i rage. 

No one likes it, its pointless and causes tankers to get annoyed. Listen to your community for once Opex.
