Look, people will act very differently between the two. If a player actually cares about the flag, they will chase it, literally stand on the flag using its massive weight as a blocker, or return it. To try what? Cap the flag? Yes, that's exactly what the mode is supposed to be. Capture The Flag!!!!!! You finally get it.

Also, don't forget about other actions. Killing a flag carrier. Returning a flag. Assist kills (killing an enemy who is targeting your friendly flag carrier). Healing. 

Your missing 1 very crucial point. The game is broken so why attempt to play the objective and get slaughtered every few seconds by OP trash augments when you can earn as much reward if you are " a good camper".  Augments and floating trashcans, to name the worst two have ruined the game, along with the useless MM and all the bugs and glitches that will never be sorted.

Why would I ask about something that is possible? As one "works" hard with such equipment it is possible. One guy on polish community called Nemezis and Aethernitas (his accounts are hidden on ratings. Yes yes, it's not my problem you don't believe me, and no I didn't have time to make a screenshot of it.) did that twice, so yeah. Maybe no one have seen that, but why would I care about it. And also, I have written "LoL, good joke..." when replying to Kimura, buy new glasses or get one if you don't have any. Your reading skills sucks. But yes, reaching Legend with 0 GS isn't impossible, it takes an incredible amount of patience and not giving up..

Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? No. That is the difference. You have to keep in mind that the player cannot equip a drone even once otherwise they can't unequip it.

My last Team Mode match was RGB where enemy team was OVERFLOWING with The Floating Hack. Ofc we lost 7-0 in around 5 mins. but i camped and guess what? I got 700 score in these 5 min. the second place guy in my team had 300. The Hack that was in the 1st place on the enemy team had ~650 score. By camping i got more score than half of my team combined and more score than the Floating Hack that capped like 5/7 Balls. Also i didn't have to be spawn killed and waste a bunch of supplies.
