Probably did it as a precautionary measure in case someone decided to try and "out-earn" him right at the end.

Thats one way for the developers to make players spend money in-game. The  players willingly spend it not forced

Uhm... for real?! Repeating for a long time Crisis XT then Hyperion XT and again Crisis XT and Hyperion XT?!?!? What about other drones? They won't have XT "version? bruh

Almost nothing changes in that, and that's too little, No, augments aren't everything which would make this "challenge" popular.. Why there is still no  non-buyer category, even with smaller prizes (a bit) Oh wait, I forgot it's for money, not players, sorry, my bad lol

Unfortunately, it's not gonna happen .it's too much of a risk for devs to add it and lose lot of money. I guess most of non-buyers would like it to be in this game, but you see, they care a lot more about money not for players.

EDIT: turns out it actuallty on "July II announcement"  it shows sheet for july i and not ii , and on august topic/announcement  it shows sheet for july ii ,that's why i did not see my nick,  actually i received the containers so no error it seems ( when is to acknoledge something right ^^ )

if i'm wrong, please let me know, but i think there's something wrong with the list of winnings. The player from the win list position 351, nickname: Online, has 1051 stars, but his stats say that he has no progress (all at zero), what's the point of buying stars in the store. I just noticed because I had the same amount of stars in challenges.

The second option is put there as an "option" for the try hards to buy their way to victory, not realising they are being conned by the system that is based solely on greed, with a hefty slice of no balance or fair play anywhere to be seen.

Cells, lack of, brain, deficiency, idiocy, foolish, head in clouds, down the pan, cash, no life, etc are a few explanatory words that spring to mind to explain why they do this.

The devs wrap these players up in cotton wool and whisper soothing, yet false words of encouragement to drain them of their cash, which they do very easily.

Isn't it every person's choice how they spend their money? And if they have alot, why can't they spend it on Tanki if they want?

Like you said, it's their "choice". I am just pointing out the futility of it all as it's a vicious cycle of exploitation and anyone who can't see that, or disagrees with my dissection of how "this game" works, is a complete fool.
