Too difficult to implement and doesn't fit into the concept of the game. What's the point of having paints that are expensive or special if anyone can just draw it themselves?

Easy: Making the draw platform as not comfortable so you can't draw in a high level -OR enlarging the brush size so you can't draw delicate designs AND making the paint cost 100 TK

If so then it's not a problem if they drew a similar paint, as already the most expensive paint is 100K tk. Nevertheless, the appropriate price then is 1000 tk, but without the limitations I made in my above post. Except if someday someone made a software that can draw a pixel by pixel copy of a paint, which can quite easily be done tbh. Remember: the most expensive paints are animated, Tanki will never implement a keyframe based animations; thus, 1000 tk is more than reasonable.

it took me like 5 seconds to think of a workaround lol (i am an artist)

100k tankoins for a custom paint like that is actually like the bare minimum from business perspective. a billion custom paints would destroy their already non-existent servers. 100 or 1000 tankoins per paint would not be close to worth it.

I tried to imagine how the workaround would be with the enlarged brush, all I can say is that placing a spot over spot starting from the edges of the screen, not sure if such an engine could be programmed to draw an exact similar picture of a high detailed paint. Except if you have another way; explain.

a lot of work with eraser where you erase a lot... to say the least. (a technique used by 2D artists who draw with PC mouse).

Or for example the entire canvas is black (black, black, black) and you want a thin white line in the middle (black, white, black) then with white brush you draw a big blop of white in the middle (since the brush is giant no matter what like you said) now you have (white, white, black) canvas then you take a black brush again and now carefully paint over white on the left until you get a white line in the middle. This is a very caveman example you would use it to make complicated paints while the eraser trick would be probably used for very simple paints. Though it depends if the program had layers, brush hardness, flow etc.
Also just realised how many of tanki players actually know how to draw? And draw with a PC MOUSE of all things? 99,9% of the paints would just be a mess so the update is pointless in the first place.

 

Art verification here's my around 3 month old drawing (like 30% finished in the screenshot). For people who'll just go boohoo you're not an artist you just talk **** lol

This alone took like 2-3 hours to finish and 30 minutes of extra effects and adjustments. A complicated "badass" tanki paint would probably take 1 hour to make. Tanki player's attention span will be long gone proabably.  Also who's gonna stop Lil Joe from making PP paint? We gonna have mods checking the paints lol?

Not to mention the amount of inappropriate content people would create that would have to be moderated.

I'm pretty serious. A brand new cosmetic feature that allows you to look completely unique? I can totally see that being sold for tens of thousands of tankoins, at least at first.

It's not a special thing, tons of other games have the ability to edit things and they're already set in-game as free. Charging so much for a virtual color that wouldn't be animated is crazy. 

The livery editor is present in many other games and is free. 

You have to understand how easily this feature can be abused. People can just create some very inappropriate paints for such a cheap price, which would be a nightmare to moderate.
