The nuclear energy box should not be missing in CP, SGE and RGB versions of maps

The nuclear energy box should not be missing in CP, SGE and RGB versions of maps.

The nuclear energy box is often located in the center of the map.

In such cases the nuclear energy box location is often replaced by a control point (in control point and siege version of the map) or a ball drop location (in rugby version of the map).

It would be better if the nuclear energy box is relocated slightly in those modes.

Probably the drop box locations are independent of the mode, thus, they just simpmy disappear when an objective is on them. I guess this could be solved with adding secondary drop zones which are used jn case of the first one is occupied.

I think drop box locations can be adjusted per mode, since in Assault the nuclear energy box is nearly always relocated to a position near the defending team.

So for nuclear energy drop box the usual configuration is:

  • TDM, CTF, TJR: Usually in a central location.
  • ASL: Relocated near the defending team.
  • CP, SGE, RGB: Usually missing, and the central location has a control point or ball drop zone. In these cases it should be relocated also.

This have become more significant after the daily mission change, since one of the daily missions is to use overdrive, which favors TDM, CTF, TJR and ASL as defenders.

I'm curious what the reason is for it. It's not like they just forgot to add it.

Maybe the box is actually on the map during those modes, just hiding in forbidden places?

Like Parma has 2 dropzones regardless of modes, fairly clean, they may as well alter all maps to cater for 2 drop zones too.

Gotta say I've always found it strange that there are two nuclear drop zones in Parma. It either gives both teams an equal advantage or grants the team dominating the battlefield an unnecessary powerboost

Dusseldorf also has 2 drops, 1 on each side, aside ASL where both are in the middle from what I remember. But I'd rather have maps with a double drop unless they are small then a single drop. We've seen Chernuska with 4 point Capture zones, so I'm sure many of these small maps could easily lose their central point for that. Highways has 6 capture zones too, so keeping them even could be something.

That's right. But Parma is not a big map, it is rather easy to collect one nuclear supply and rush straight to the other drop zone. Stadium has a somewhat similar layout as Parma (elevated bases, lower open field in the middle) but only has one drop zone in the centre.

I agree that an additional nuclear supply drop zone on big maps could be a nice addition, but then again: where would you (re)allocate these drop zones so that they are still placed in accessible and visible locations?

In most of these maps, they could easily adjust up ball dropzones/capture points to allocate for atleast a single nuke drop
