Hello everyone,

 

A lot of one word names are taken from dead accounts with 0 points. I assume that the accounts were created by a player who  took over 1000 cool account names and keeps logging into them, because he knows that after a week of not logging in, he could lose the account name.

Please do something about it, because it's not fair that I can't change my name because of someone who stole simple names and has 0 points on them, so he doesn't play at all. So i came with easy fix and solution for this huge problem.
Tanki online should make that you can have an account name and a profile name. The account name cannot be changed and is a unique identifier of your account. Your display name can be anything you want, even something used by someone else.

I am not sure if the community would agree with allowing duplicate nicknames to exist, as that would create ground for confusion between players and other issues.
Regardless, Im interested to hear others opinions.

Or you could have an arrangement that players with 0 playing activity over an account, even if purchased with real money, will have their nickname reformatted like the current inactivity system. This can be implemented specially for low ranks, starting from Recruit to Gefreiter.

But this Idea shouldnt be applicable for ranks more than WO1, becuae sometimes people like to play and still take a break from the game.
