everyone i  have a few words to share regarding yesterday when i logged into my account.

so last week i saw the msg in the forum tht tanki online devs were going to delete unused accounts. i was sure my account too would have fallen under that category.

on the last day i played the game (which was a few years ago or so), i thought it was time to end this suffering and quit (again). and for good measure i sent an email to customer service asking for them to block my account till further notice. they did it quite faster than i expected.

but because of this account deletion thing i thought i will log in once, because it would be too bad to have my account deleted after all, i have played his game for quite some time in this account.

so i sent an email to tanki online customer service asking for the unblocking of my account. they did tht quite quickly as well.

so i logged in yesterday and decided maybe now that i logged in as well, might as well play a few games, who knows? maybe the game has improved... so i went to the battle list and saw a noise ctf 8v7. i joined the blue team (or bottom base team, because teams arent blue and red anymore). while the game was loading (which was unnecessarily long), i remembered about the bad reputation noise had in those times after tesla was released. i forgot about it for a moment and my thoughts went to the loading screen, which was quite nice to look at.

at last i joined the battle.

already i could see chaos. i m sure i dont need to describe it all in detail, i dont want to. i cant. it was too horrifying. so i left it and searched for another map to try to my luck in. so i then joined a serpuhov ctf (i remember ofc serpuhov and noise as always were the staples for these players and it would be hard put to find another map often, same map, and same players. doesnt seem to have changed much) .

after another long wait in the loading screen, i joined the battle.

i was in a wasp. and i found it very hard to survive even for a few seconds while being in my base. i left in less than 2 minutes right after being one shotted by a smoky. 

so i thought its best to leave this game as it is and play no more, or i would risk losing even more brain cells.

 

but i do have one good thing to comment on this whole experience with the game and it is tht the tanki online customer service was very helpful and is quick to reply to your messages. when they asked for my feedback i rated them with a 5 (best or something was the word maybe idk).

so i will therefore gladly ask the tanki online customer service to block my account again today till further notice.

Did you try MM battles? They're not perfect by any means, but at least most of the maps are quite balanced. And the special modes are often really fun and good for F2P players. For example, right now there's an RGB mode with B0-NK turrets, grenades, and increased gold boxes. I tried a couple rounds and it's quite exciting indeed.

also the game has changed quite a lot, so if you don't spend a few hours going through all the updates on the wiki, you'll actually have a very bad time playing (tbh you'll spend more time respawning than playing, cuz it's pretty difficult to play without a good drone and a status-effect augment)

Thanks tanki! I knew that there was something weird with my account. Although I'm still wondering what does the hacker /or bot wants with my tanki account, like how was the bot able to log-in to tanki. I know my device had a virus that made it try to access many of my social accounts, but tanki?! Anyway everything is solved now. I wished though if the support gave me more information!

Normal MM is very hit-or-miss, but the special modes are often really fun.

The ongoing Team Arms Race mode is completely F2P-friendly and quite balanced, is it not?

I wish I could reply, but I do not know what that Race is. Most of the stuff happening in Tanki is now incomprehensible to Free Players: from Events requiring thousands of tankoins, to discussions of augments that sound like Shyriiwook. I am not even trying to understand because I know that whatever it is, it is asking for money.

Bro. It's just a matchmaking game mode.

You open the game, you press "Play", you press "Festive mode", and you're put into a MM TDM game with no supplies, no upgrades, no augments, no overdrives and no drones. But it still has double rewards and increased gold box drops.

If it was asking for money, I wouldn't call it F2P-friendly.

Nowadays there's almost always a special mode available. About half of them are standard MM (everything enabled, no restrictions) typically with increased gold box drops, but the other half is special modes where the battle settings and/or equipment combos are restricted.

Not sure what you mean by $$$, because the festive modes never require any kind of fee or pass to play.

If everything is enabled, why should a free player participate? To be slaughtered? These are $$$ battles.

By the way, I did play that... Festive Mode. First game I did not understand anything (entering with a Railgun, finding myself with a Smoky and and XT skin, dying for not apparent reason, no idea about the scoring way, etc.). Second time so, so. Third time I got first spot. Still, I do not understand why to make something so different for a brief amount of time. And the many golds are just spoiling the game with all kids running for them.

I don't understand why you're being so negative about this. There are plenty of legitimate problems to complain about in Tanki, and Festive Modes is definitely not on that list.

I said it quite clearly that some of these game modes have all settings enabled. I don't claim that these modes are good for F2P. I'm talking about the other ones.

Arms race is a mode where everyone starts with Smoky and upgrades to a new turret after every 3 kills. First player to complete the final tier wins the battle (either individually or for the whole team). It's the only one that feels like a completely new game mode. The others are more like normal Tanki game modes, but with a twist. You can find the full list under a spoiler here.

95% of the battles are all buyers equipment enabled. Probably 80% of players are/have been buyers. 100% of OP equipment is only for buyers.

Even in Arms race the 4-protection module is on.

To upgrade a hull/turret, you now need tankoins.

Pro Battles used to be good, but with all free players forced to leave the game, there are few battles.

What is the sense to follow announcements, if all they say is "new augment here, new event there, just take out your wallet or you will not go anywhere".

I have an old account that I logged back into after a few years because of the account closure notice and started playing with it a little bit lately.

It has a mediocre garage, tops out around 7,500 gear score.

Because I hadn’t used it for so long I got the usual welcome back stuff, a battle pass and premium.

Anyways, it has performed surprisingly well, a little too well in my opinion.

I as the player am a constant, the GS9999 account is struggling in most battles, getting one shot killed and knocked around routinely, 

A Titan or Mammoth should not be getting one shot killed by anything, it’s ridiculous shooting a Wasp 10 times and nothing and he shoots your Mammoth once and you die.

But interestingly the account with Battle Pass and premium with a GS 7,500 has not been having that problem.

I used to spend a little money now and then on the game so technically I’m not a F2p player but last couple of years I have been a F2P player. But it seems my Garage / Gear Score means nothing if the opposing guy is a current spender.

Free to play players just being replaced by bots so you are not even trying to hide your contempt for f2p players anymore.

I get it, you need buyers to have a nice experience and feel special but I think you have crossed a line from them having an advantage to actually cheating on their behalf. What’s the difference? Integrity.
