How long will you rob us? Rewards Bug

The current state of this game is a JOKE, I just opened a bunch of epic containers now and finally after a LONG TIME I got an exotic reward.

What I didn't expect was this USELESS BUG, bugs always affect us negatively, don't they? Why is that? Never something to our advantage?

For an EXOTIC reward I got a LEGENDARY PAINTING! Well that's  a JOOOOKE

As sad as this is, it is not a bug or a mistake. 
For the winter festival Ultra containers, this paint (Touch of Chill) is added to the Exotic rarity, more about this here: https://tankionline.com/en/?p=50126

What I can advice you for the future is, save your keys, look for the prize pool to see if you have something you like or really want. If no simply save up your keys, and open during the events where you may find good skins, augments etc.
But I really do feel you, getting a paint in legendary rarity as exotic sucks big time.

It's a bug, this paint is legendary item. I've take a screenshot after the receive this reward, before open more containers:

The current Legendary rarity in containers is diluted with a lot of the items, most of which a player would not care for either because they don't like getting paints or it is an augment for a turret they don't see themselves ever using. Among other things, one solution the Devs have implemented this year is to have specific items in the Legendary category be in Exotic  rarity for specific iterations of epic containers so that the drop rate of that specific reward is higher. This includes augments, and unfortunately recently, paints as well. This is the 3rd time a paint has been put in an epic container iteration this year. You would have known this if you read the announcements.

Touch of Chill Paint isn't there anymore because you just obtained it.

As others have mentioned, this isn't a bug but rather an intentional increase in drop rate for the themed items durning the current event. Please make sure to check the featured items carefully next time before deciding to open containers.
