Rolling over excess stars to next challege/elite pass

Recommended Posts

As the title suggests, say I have grinded more stars than necessary for the challenge/elite pass, as shown below:

There should be an option to roll over the excess stars to the next challenge/elite pass. In exchange, you would be ineligible to compete in the Challenge Accepted event (for that fortnight). I feel that this would be beneficial for those who cannot play consistently/ have other matters to attend to, etc.

Some more ideas related to this feature:
- If you also have an active elite pass, you will only be able to roll over stars over 1000 (in this case I would be able to roll over 279 stars into the next challenge/elite pass). Conversely, if you only have an active Challenge, any stars over 300 should be roll-overable.

- Maybe you can charge a nominal ruby fee to roll-over cos profits?

Declined

Took a while for this Idea to get reposted again (only 2 years )

Firstly, as per Rule 2.c of the I&S subtopic rules, we do not accept Ideas against any bonuses.

Secondly, iirc Devs had some bonuses or a new mechanism in mind when taking into account the extra or redundant stars, but I doubt such implementation will see the daylight in the near future because they have other plans at hand now. And finally, such things are under the supervision of Marketing team.

Sounds complicated. You'd end up with people accidentally clicking buttons (transferring their stars) and then complaining that they can't participate in challenges.

More importantly, current challenges are balanced around the mechanic of stars getting reset every time, so getting the ability to transfer stars would mean that something somewhere would have to get nerfed, be it the challenge rewards, number of stars earned, or number of stars required to complete them.
