That you have to buy early access to Tanki Classic - fine, but that nickname reservations are now hidden behind a paywall is just another decision from the devs that I can simply not understand. I can already see people abusing this to steal other's nicknames. If my nickname is taken in Tanki Classic before I can even touch the game, because someone BOUGHT IT, I'm never going to play Tanki Classic.

Personally, I would have also liked micro upgrades, but not the ones we have currently. I preferred the first iteration, where you could choose what you wanted to upgrade; be it your tank's top speed, acceleration, health, or whatever. That gave a nice sense of progress in my opinion. And also, I think that none of the pirated versions have that iteration of micro upgrades, so Tanki Classic would maybe stand out a bit more with it.

But yeah, that you can reserve a nickname only by paying 2000 tankoins is pretty disappointing.

It's annoying that you have to pay for bundles to be considered a "loyal fan" and to have a say in which features are added to the game or to give feedback.

You can't understand WHY the devs are pre-empting the monetisation of classic before the official release date to all players, I shake my head in disbelief.

This is TO.

P2W will never, ever go away. Even in a watered down version of that system the devs will always, wherever possible, play on the competitive nature of players;-ie lighten their bank balance as much as they can at every opportunity. 

That I have to keep spelling this out to players is beyond comprehension. TO will "ALWAYS" exploit players. It's "THE" only reason this and any other game exists, to GET YOUR CASH. 

I wonder how many players who have the means/cash will fall for this, silly me, all of them of course. It's called conditioning and TO are very good at enticing those that just can't function on a daily basis without the game in their lives.

Yes you will, because you think buying into early classic is fine.

This tells me that your mind is already made up. Your going to at least try out the classic version, no matter what, and you will.

Don't misunderstand me, I totally understand the reasons/economics of why TO has to make money, it's in order to keep the game going, makes sense.

The difference between me and so many other players is that if I see a offer in the game for cash I don't delude myself behind the reasons why I may decide to get it. It's either actually worth it, or it is not, regardless of the offer. Deluding/convincing oneself that It's worth it, that It will definitely make a difference is a trap I have never fell for.

That so many do is probably the reason that the pricing system in this game is sky high.

Example.

The 3rd special offer will cost you 19.990 tankoins = € 180.00.  How many will purchase this ridiculously overpriced offer.

For me personally they overprice items 90% of the time by a massive amount, and yet players still delude themselves that It's worth it.

It literally is fine and it is common practice in the gaming industry. By making it paid, you sort out most of the useless feedback, since all the trolls are not likely to buy the early access. And that is what an early version is about, good feedback. Usually, the progress you've made in the early access version also doesn't transfer to the game once it's released, but you get a bonus for participating in the early access.

I don't mind them making early access paid, but I disagree with nickname reservations being paid and with you being able to get the Veteran paint as well, since that's pretty much spitting into every player's face who got the paint by doing good in eSports.

Well, in almost 14 years of playing this account, I've spent max. 20 bucks, and that was before smartphones were even popular. I doubt I'm gonna buy anything, that's why I'm complaining.

I'm just saying that they could have handled this early access better. Instead of making it paid they could have made it with invitations as well, but eh, up to them.

however, I read an interesting conversation on discord a few hours ago, and it seems more likely that you'll get to reserve your existing tanki nickname alone, not a new nickname. so if you own a fancy/original nickname in the actual game, you can reserve it in tanki classic by (probably) linking your main account to your TC account

but it would be super annoying if you could simply buy a nickname of your choice

I guess being on this platform for almost 15 years does not make me a loyal fan, my wallet does.

Too bad, I won't support the project until I see the result with my own eyes. And if I don't like some of the features such as ODs or Augments, then my wallet will continue to be closed and I will continue to not be a loyal fan.

Man, sometimes i miss those times where i was an oblivious kid playing this game for the first time... it's not nostalgia, the feeling i got when learning the mechanics and playing the game for the first time is something i will never get back. I've witnessed the slow downfall of this game, starting with small things like micro upgrades and moving on to containers and augments. 
Reality is often disappointing.

Yet another way of scraping money from my wallet in your opinion after I have spent more than 5000 euros in this game for about 14 years to have a 95% full garage should I start everything from scratch? I would say that it would be time to give respect to the Veterans and make them start from Generalissimo and full garage, together with their own Nick Name, I don't give a damn about a veteran paint that I haven't earned, I'm interested in recovering part of the capital I spent, So put a package for those who have been playing for at least 6\8 years and let them join full.

If the classic version is anything like the lagged, bugged, glitched, constantly rebooting version of the game I played today, reserving nicknames won't be the problem.
