Why are you adding XP into the gifts.

Why are you making it even harder for low ranked players who DO NOT WANT any added XP as it makes their garages extremely weak.

I have several accounts that are low ranked, which I will not be collecting on, nice one.

Almost everything in TO has been devalued except the ever increasing price hikes you employ.

Except it's probably possible to progress through the ranks without spending money while still keeping up with upgrades for one or two sets of equipment. You're only forced to spend cash if you want to gain an advantage by having more equipment options and the highest possible upgrades.

Honestly, I don't see what there is to be confused about. The game economy is designed around players logging in and playing the game. A user having dozens of old accounts sitting idle and waiting for passive rewards (or collecting gold boxes without gaining experience) is NOT how it's meant to work, so people doing this are using an exploit. Adding EXP to crystal boxes, gold boxes, missions, and gifts is a way to make that exploit less effective.

Tanki is giving gifts that would very possibly take more than 1000 EXP of playing to earn in the game. Want them without the EXP? Hazel has already provided the answer. Buy them yourself.

Whether you want free stuff or not, you're the one to make this call. As for me, I'm glad to gain another rank container without having to suffer in MM. (Speaking of rank containers, could we change them please? Getting 1k crys for a Legend rankup kinda sucks.)

F2P game in big 25. ofc its going to have pay to win features everywhere. what's the issue? Dont like it so much then leave nobody is under a contract that forces them to stay here. The new EXP/Cry rework actually benefits your so beloved low rank players  (or I should say your idle mini-rank account is the 'beloved player') compared to the past. you rank up slower while getting more crystals compared to the pre-nerf. Also you get more time to do daily and other kinds of missions before reaching higher rank even with all the added XP. Which means more keys and more opportunities to get free crystals and OP augments from them.

@POWER-OF-ONE is absolutely right in their analysis. The purpose of all updates, adding XPs, devaluing game currencies, etc. is basically to prepone the point at which players are forced to pay money. It's good to see that Hazel is absolutely open about this, too. It basically means you've run out of ideas that would make players want to invest money, so you just keep inventing mechanisms that force an early decision between stopping to play and paying money. Other companies try to persuade players by improving game attractiveness, but that doesn't seem to be your business model - after all, the decision is up to the players.

Nobody (except you) introduced "a year ago" as a reference point - and (as that was the starting point) there were no XP on opening containers/ gifts either a year ago. But have it your way.

Not sure I quite understand this.

I think your saying that you can't give anything to players unless it coincides with gaining XP or spending cash, in game currency or real.

If that is the case then why was this or some other version not implemented from the very beginning.

Is it because you did not think of it until recently.

You can't move forward in the game (ranking) unless you give something back.

Regardless of your motives this passive XP is a game changer across the board and It's not a helpful one, quite the opposite.

Why did you say in a recent V-log that players were gaining to much XP and ranking to quick and then offset the xtra crystals players got compared to XP with this passive XP.

Give with one hand and utterly obliterate with the other.

This is only a recent thing.

For years they/devs said nothing and fobbed players off with bullcrap excuses as to why they did certain things.

I will give you one example of their blatant lying. This example has always stuck with me because it was such a OBVIOUS lie.

Back in the day when Vulcan could overheat and deal heat damage "WITHOUT" actually overheating------ they said it was a glitch. Of course it was, silly me.

Buyers in the main really don't care what the devs do. Whatever tactics the devs employ to make cash from their game, buyers just shrug and say, no probs.

The buyers might call it free will, to buy or not to buy, but not once will they ever admit that they are addicted to spending cash (conditioned) by the game which intentionally goes to any lengths to ensure once hooked, they stay hooked. 

I have bought myself on many occasions throughout the years on many accounts, but when the nerf/buff cycle became a reality and they started to bring out all these status effects/augments and nerfed containers into oblivion and copied/pasted everything including the kitchen sink, then it was time to stop wasting cash on a game that gave very little for the amount they wanted. 

Hardcore buyers will ALWAYS buy, the devs know this. They encourage it by any and all means.

I have nothing against buyers per se, I just hate the way the mechanics of the game have changed over the years, in particular the effects it has on lower ranked players.

sir there is lots of old time players here , who would like to see the old game return. the changes have been a roller coaster for some who have left and are having issues picking up the new game.

I myself would like to see the old game back with the new container prices and not the original 10 points pick ups..

it would be fun for the new players to see how things started back then to what it is now..

so Yes to the oldies
