PvE Event Mode — Fight Against AI Enemies

Hello Tanki Online devs,

I’d like to propose a fresh direction for future events: a PvE (Player vs Environment) game mode where players fight against AI-controlled enemies, such as robotic tanks or boss machines. This would be a welcome alternative to the current event minigames, which mostly involve collecting currency and relying on random rewards.


Why This Mode Makes Sense:

  • Existing Assets Are Underused: The game already has a wide variety of mechanical and robotic models scattered throughout maps — often as mere scenery. These could be brought to life as active enemies, giving more value to existing assets and creating an immersive narrative around them. Here's some pictures of the existing assets that I would love to be able to fight with my tank:

  • Engaging Gameplay: Players could cooperate to survive waves of robot tanks or take down a massive boss machine. This would add depth and excitement to events, providing actual gameplay-driven objectives rather than passive tasks.

  • Reward Based on Damage or Contribution: Instead of random drops, rewards could be based on how much damage a player does, how long they survive, or how many robots they defeat — encouraging active participation.

  • Break from RNG: Many players find event chests and random draws unsatisfying. A PvE mode would offer a skill-based and effort-driven alternative, with more rewarding and memorable gameplay.


Additional Thoughts:

This mode could rotate alongside traditional events or even become a seasonal feature. You wouldn’t need to balance it around equipment — just create a fun, challenging environment for all ranks to enjoy. It could even be scaled for solo play, co-op with friends, or large public lobbies.

However enticing this Idea is, the process cannot be implemented, unfortunately.

Tanki has never ventured towards game controlled Boss fights. It's players vs players themselves, but now we have AI tanks that serve as players only.

The closest we got to a boss fight is attacking a Juggernaut but the Jugg is controlled by players itself, not CPU controlled. The Idea of a souls game with mini bosses and the mega bosses does not fit well with tanki's PvP theme.

Besides, the company has plans for Classic and further improving the current game mechanics, so this implementation far out of question.

I wonder if that four legged hull will ever be in game, maybe it can climb over things. I think its the first time I've seen a picture of all of these assets in one place but they are one of my favorite parts of the game. They really give you a feel for the wider unknown world of Tanki. Some of these are just insanely massive and cool. 

I am looking forward to more remasters, the overgrown and dilapidated aesthetic is just so nice, vaguely apocalyptic and oddly cozy.

would have been one hell of an game mode
people spamming ODs against a boss who has 100k health ?
