For me, I think that one of the sole reasons why the game is is losing a lot of players is because the devs did not consider the in-game economy while adding the new updates. It all started when the paint seperation update was introduced, where all paints lost its value and became purely cosmetic. I don't disagree with this update because it did give players the opportunity to mix up the protection modules with different paints, but the update also ruined the game economy. The paints lost all of its value, as players saw no reason to buy them. Therefore, virtually all the garage paints were disregarded by the players, and as a result what was once one of the most useful things in the game became nothing at all. Another update which may seem to have little impact to the game was the xt update. By that, I mean removing the ability to obtain XT turrets from the garage and daily missions, and only making it purchasable inside the shop, using real money. Maybe it seemed to the devs that they could make extra money from this, but instead it made the game economy much worse. A rare item is an object that seems to be easily obtainable through normal means, but is instead very difficult to get. The original XT system worked really well, because you were able to obtain the XTs through saving up crystals, or doing one of the hard missions, without spending a single penny. However, when the XT update came along, the XTs lost its value, because it was no longer obtainable by non-buyers (A majority of the game), therefore it became another useless thing that only buyers could get. XTs used to be a symbol of hardwork, but is instead now a symbol of a buyer. Then there is all the new challenges and waves of new paints. Players used to be able to memorise all the paint names, and even all their protections. Now, this is literally an impossible feat, because new paints are literally added every week. Many, many paints lost its uniqueness, not only because there is another paint that looks extremely similar, but also because there are too many paints to choose from. This made each paint become 'unique' itself, which made it lose its meaning as a paint. I don't think the devs knew that in order to have rarity, most things have to be common, and only very few can be rare. With all the new paints that were added, every paint became unique, because there simply isnt enough players for a specific paint to become common. Therefore, paints no longer show status and rarity, completely ruining this whole aspect of the game. The Mk7 update was also extremely ill-planned. There were only 4 modification skins for each turret and hull, but since it was updated to 7, the different looks lost its meaning. 2 Mods now share the same skin, making it not special anymore to have a higher Modification in battle. The same goes with shot colours. It may seem fun to have all the different shot colours, but it would have been much better if the devs just left it alone, since it used to make each modification of the turret look unique. TL&DR: The devs really ruined the game through poorly managing the game economy. Having a lot of something not only makes it all depreciate in value, but it also makes it less meaningful.

None of our moderators had abused their powers. The screenshots posted above are from an unfortunate incident from last year, where a moderator account from one of the community locales was unlawfully accessed (i.e. hacked) and abused to issue false chat warnings and bans to unsuspecting players and the game staff. The hacked account with authorized chat powers was quickly regained back (within a matter of minutes), and all of the collateral mess (false chat warnings and bans) was cleaned up immediately afterwards — so everything in relation to the incident was properly investigated and taken care of with a rapid response. As a side note, I can personally assure you that all of our moderation guys are nothing less than professional and lovely. ?

Funny you can use the word KILL in describing how you stopped a hornet from say getting away with your flag, but use a word that might be funny and illicit a smile from players who appreciate my fine and noble efforts at wiping out EVERY hornet player that crosses my path in battle,and the mods take offence and delete my pics. Never mind i will just continue my destruction of all hornet players ..............cause it's easy. Watch out for the hornet fire coming after me, wiped out every time. I just stayed at base and chilled really, even had a sarnie and a cup of tea as i wasn't even tested beyond say 25% of my hornet wiping out abilities. To all you hornet players out there, if you see me in battle i welcome you to try and get the better of me. I assume most players bought themselves a low grade and tried it in battles in the first days after its release, but are now waiting for a 50% sale to upgrade it fully before using it in battles. But also it's definitely different, so perhaps not as many players will prefer it over other hulls. I personally love it, despite only using light hulls for the past 3-4 years. Can't wait for the light hover hull to be made.

Container openings. A simple task, but it brings along suspense and excitement, as well as anger, frustration, and jealousy with the unsatisfactory rewards the Tanki Gods bring. With a few quick stories however, you'll find that your viewpoint will slowly shift from disgruntled to grateful tanker. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ah, containers. I was quite interested in these strange items in the garage once I got my hands on them. The first time I opened a container, all I wanted were a few easy crystals, and I was thankful enough for a small handful of Gold boxes. Nowadays, even 10 000 or 25 000 crystals upfront doesn't seem to cut it anymore. I didn't understand why. How did I change from pleased to hungering for more each time? It simply didn't make sense. But after lunch, I took a quick walk around my house, and it was just a few minutes down the age-old memory lane that I found the answer: I had skewed my expectations so high that it was almost impossible to satisfy me. To understand this, let's get into expectations. Oh, I almost forgot, welcome to the Tanker's Column. In each episode, I'll be covering some everyday tanker dilemmas and using real life stories to illustrate how I found solutions through them! Expectations Let's get this bre... aw come on, 3 500 crystals again? An expectation is basically something that you want to happen. Say if I rolled two six-faced dice (with numbers from one to six) in a board game, then I would expect to roll a sum between two and twelve. At first, that was how I started out, but as the game progressed, I started to think "Oh, I wouldn't want to roll a 7 or smaller, I need those large numbers". Because of this, I started to restrict the expected outcomes in my brain to a different set of numbers, which frustrated me. That's exactly what is happening right now. When you open a container, you're already searching for something, like an XT skin or a Hull Augment. When you get a shot effect, this bothers you since you've been looking for the Augment and not the effect. But that's just a small piece of the puzzle we need to solve. This next factor was the one that brought my container expectations to an unbeatably high bar I could never clear. It keeps me (and many other tankers in the same trap) in perpetual jealousy. The Neighbour Theory Theirs: Mine: Basically: "If my friend can get a new MacBook for his birthday, why can't I?" This theory is often applied in many situations, and it leaves those who believe they are short-changed by this philosophy angry. Take this example. I was probably twelve years old and had joined the elite ranks of a friend group. Since many of my friends' birthdays fell into the spring months, I remember seeing many of them celebrate at our lunch group with lavish gifts and enough to feed our group of nearly 100 people. As I enjoyed the festivities, I thought, "Well, I'm also an elite in this group, perhaps I'll get a celebration like this next year". I expected to have a similar celebration just because several other people had amazing parties, including my friend Preston, whom half the group disliked for his pompous attitude. But enough about pompous Preston, it's time to get back to the story. By the time the next year, and my birthday, rolled around, I got a fat load of nothing from most of my friends, with the exception of a 75-cent cupcake from the lunch counters. You could just say that they all forgot my birthday. I was infuriated. Ah, my favorite paint. I've finally got it now. A few years later, I was chilling with my friends back at MoF, the parkour club I used to be part of, and we were talking about containers. My friends had opened containers to find awesome special paints (including the E236 I so desperately wanted, as it was the unofficial club paint), and an XT. I proceeded to open my fifteen containers, and the most I got was... a 100 supply pack. Seriously? Again, I was beyond angry. But over time, my attitude changed, though my container luck did not. Looking back, it's all about mindset. In Retrospect Several months ago, I celebrated my birthday again. That day, I was supposed to take a four-hour exam and then trudge through my first three classes, which were boring torture. I received two birthday wishes and a couple of small presents, but instead of feeling short-changed, I was grateful. Though I had no expensive gifts and no large celebration, I was thankful enough that some people had chosen to spend some time with me. I realized that during that day, I had stopped comparing what I had to what others had and accepted whatever I got with an open mind. Whereas I had nearly lost my mind earlier with the birthday celebration and the 100 supply pack, I now decided to let it alone. Who cares what type of celebration others have on their birthday? Who cares if there are four friends who each get 100 000 crystals from their containers? I didn't. Not anymore. Solution Method 1: Become a Youtuber and get lucky on video. So how can you achieve this peace of mind? Simply follow these steps: Have an open mind: Don't shut yourself into an unreachable tower of expectations, especially if its something you can't change. Instead just go through this as if it were opening a gift from a distant relative: unknowing, but ready to accept whatever is inside the packaging. Focus on yourself: Thinking about what others receive will just trap you deeper into a world of expectations you'll have trouble living up to. They might get the XT you wanted or the PC you've been begging your parents for. But that's them, and you're you. Don't worry about them. Avoid Temptations: For many, social media is a form of temptation. Multi-talented people make you feel slow, stupid, and unlucky. If it's getting to you, unplug. Following these steps will greatly benefit you and start to change your mindset. For many of us, "The Dictator" has been the epitome of humor and creativity all in one. Got a funny bone that just can't be satisfied by the Dictator alone? Well, you can write a piece and take home some crystals!

It'll be tough to distinguish between the modifications in battle... it's useful when you need to avoid being near an OP tank. Also, the higher modifications will lose their charm if lower modifications look the same.

In my opinion the rail with scout on a hornet is a very formidable tank when OD is engaged...the rate of fire coupled with DD equals lots of kills. The negative on rail is that you will face a lot of protections...a bit fewer with thunder. I have found that on most maps the Thunder (and I equip Sledgehammer all the time) is a solid choice. Since you like using a hornet, however, the splash damage will really, really hammer your tank too much. You will never harm yourself with a railgun...so the scout would be my call.

@Aegis you missed out on the passive 5% bonus that drones give. Min. damage will actually be 800 * (1.4 * 4.2) = 4704 Max. damage will actually be 1600 * (1.4 * 4.2) = 9408. It's clear to see that in any case, LCR is still too overpowered for its own good, even without the additional Booster damage to begin with and Hornet's Overdrive.

Why on earth is this thing still not being nerfed. Let me demonstrate what's the problem. Let say we have a Hornet + Railgun combo, a classic combo. Then this dude is using Booster drone and Large calibre rounds augments for Railgun. Let's assume that everything is fully upgraded since those are the players who usually self-proclaimed as "pro" (Please, no one has position to claim himself as pro in a P2W game, easy to learn game). Min. damage = 800 * (1 + 40%) * (2 + 2) = 4480 Max. damage = 1600* (1 + 40%) * (2 + 2) = 8960 BTW, fully upgraded heavy hulls have 4000 health. Also, Hornet's OD IGNORES ANY PROTECTION, including the spawn protection. See the issue? This combo is able to one shot a heavy hull!!! What's the point of using heavy hulls then? Also, because Hornets still gain charge for its OD when it is active. Its OD comes back really quickly.

How did someone like me end up here? I’ve always had a fascination, almost an obsession, with certain types of military hardware, mostly from WWII and before, with a few more contemporary exceptions. After playing a bit, I started Googling to see if there was any info that would shortcut my learning curve about updates. That’s how I found the forum. And that’s how, quite by accident, I found the Amateur Writers Section. Hey! Now THAT looked fun! I love to write, but don’t often take the time to do so. This forum gave me a cause. I quickly created an account (mistyping my name… I meant to be Hippie_In_Hawaii) then banged out my first story, A Helluva Thing. It got such good feedback, and the experience of writing was so refreshing, that I pounded out Graduation Speech. Again, the feedback was positive, and the experience of writing was cathartic. So, out came Stuck. And this was a turning point; tweezers, a former Helper, made the comment “I shall be severely disappointed if this doesn't turn out to be a series.” A series? Why not? I made a deal with myself, on the spot, to write a story per week for a year. Those first three stories got incorporated into a series I called The Chronicles of Tanker Fred. It ran for 33 installments, then was followed by Molly’s, a 21-installment story specifically aimed at the young audience which comprises this forum. Along the way, I was selected as Amateur Writer of the Year, then later bumped up to Reporter status. I’ve contributed three seasonal pieces and participated in a few writing contests as well. I tried to start a shared-world anthology; that didn’t get any traction, but it was probably overly ambitious. And, with the shortest piece I ever submitted here, I inspired myself and launched a currently-in-progress novel, which is about ⅓ done at 37,000 words. I’m also five chapters into my latest series, The One-Eyed Man, but life and circumstances have conspired to restrict the time available to my pursuit of creative writing. Well, up until covid-19 came along. Now, using this very piece as a springboard, I’m jumping back into the writing pool! I’ve consolidated all (I think) of my forum pieces here (http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=371581&p=6501724). I don’t know how long it’s been since I actually played the game. It was something I was never all that into, and since my introduction, the developers keep rolling out change after change that make it less and less desirable. But, silly little game though it is, Tanki will always hold a special place in my heart for leading me to the AWS, which became one of the few points of light during a very, very dark time of my life.
