Not a clue. Lexical simply refers to the concrete meaning of words, as defined in dictionaries or other reference works. (Conscious) lexical abuse would be would be when someone points to one definition of a word and claim that this was how they utilized it, when in fact it was not. Since Venerable has asked me to point out bad faith in his post, let's look at this one instance. Venerable claimed that in this sentence: the word voluntarily actually ment the following : So lets look at his sentence with this definition, and see what happens: "[Helpers] receive a compensation for the work they do, out of their own free will Now that obviously doesn't make sense. No one has claimed or suspected that helpers are forced to work for Tanki. The word 'voluntary' can in fact not occur in conjunction with the word 'work', when utilized in this lexical meaning. That would be a pleonasm, because work is by definition undertaken by one's own free will. In the same way, there is nothing called 'involuntary work'. That would be a euphemism for slavery. What Venerable did here may appear innocent, but really it us underhand tactics. It makes it very hard to go after him without seeming petty and pedantic. And if you take the bait, you will be derailing from topic yourself. This kind of diversion of discussion is just one among a whole range of more sinister methods that site reps use to distract from critique or icky subjects. And as you can see, very effective at that.2 points

Knew that one. Have to admit I had to look that one up. Not a clue. Knew that one. I prefer Tolkien. Lets see who can write the most incomprehensible post filled with words no one understands.2 points

If the time frame of 'eventually' is the sole point of your argument, you're clinging to an infinitesimal point. Translation: your argument--while technically correct--is farcical in nature, due to the length of time necessary to achieve your point.1 point

It's more accurate to say: 'How long does it take for a non buyer to equal a buyer.' Because if a buyer wants the best of everything, he buys it--leaving the non-buyer to hope he gets the same equipment in a container or special mission or whatever. The Paris to Dakkar rally is won by Peugeots (buyers) and not by people walking on foot (non-buyers).1 point

Personally, I am not wasting anything for this event, note, currently I am 5 steps from checkpoint 3, I have had 4 minus 5's so far I believe, drew the short straw, but I know a money sink when I see one, the move prices are not worth the buck for a potential to go back to where you started.1 point

You haven't played endgame enough to know why it's still needed, if you actually sent this and mean it.1 point

Look guys. The game is specifically designed to make you spend money. Specifically designed that way. There are blocks and restrictions, and nerfs and buffs and changes to the game so that free players are discouraged to continue playing for free. Specifically designed that way. Whatever grind your uncle's mechanic's hair-dresser told you about #winning, or that 'thing' he got in a container once, it is not the norm. Specifically designed that way. If you think that freebies can compete with buyers over the long haul, you are literally ignoring every data point in this forum that indicates the exact opposite. Specifically designed that way. If you think that freebies could get all the 'things' that a buyer does--just by grinding a little longer or getting a little more lucky with containers, there wouldn't be a need to ever spend money on this game. Specifically designed that way.1 point

This is really unfortunate. Hope they will change it back or do something with it. I would like to see again parkour community be alive. Good Luck and have Hopes. ?1 point

? that guy never made any sense. If you write that wasp is faster than viking, he will comment (because he always has to comment every post...) that you are not a good player, as it depends on the drone type... I think there are about 650 paints (weapons effects excluded), so for another four years (but Tanki will make more of course), that will be your normal gathering ? I recently started to complete all missions. I hate to play MM, as I find it literally disgusting, but we are at a point where the few remaining Pro Battles are played by buyers coming with all sort of augments that make them x-times stronger even without supplies. I got hundreds of UCs and I think I got 24 tankoins in a month. 5000 are needed for the 4th protection... and still someone claims that free players have access to the same possibilities than buyers... As buyers have a full garage already, once a new item comes out, their chances to get it is very high, either through normal game UCs or from additional $ purchases of containers. A free player has a very limited garage, therefore between the many missing items, it is very unlikely you will get what you are looking for.1 point

It isn't only Jug where camping tends to be the norm. This one devolved very early into a campers deathmatch. Nobody cared to bring a flag. Do you know this guy, Hazel? He seems to think he makes millions and has a yacht and everything.1 point

I don't know why you're so insistent on proving some mod in a video game wrong. If I were you, I'd find something more useful to do in life to be honest.1 point

It doesn't need to be explicitly stated. By "always been public", I meant that the impression that Helpers are "forced to promote the management's decisions" has been publicly discussed in the past and shown to be unfounded. Saying positive things about the game has never been a requirement for becoming a Helper. In fact, the Game Rules (which apply to everyone including Helpers) state this: If this rule gets enforced more strictly, it would be considered "censorship" by most. But it's still a perfectly logical rule because it doesn't stop anyone — even Helpers — from posting constructive criticism. I cannot wake up one day and say, "terrible update, bring back old Tanki, the current version sucks". I can, however, say, "I disagree with the reasoning behind this update, here's why, and here's an alternative." I need to be careful with my words, naturally, because I become a representative (of sorts) of the game when I join a Helper group. Blatant criticism does no good. I really do not know from where people got this notion that Helpers are paid to keep quiet. They're not. They receive a compensation for the work they do, voluntarily , knowing full well what the position entails. Plus, the requirements of all Helper positions mention politeness and "no bans", which pretty much include the criticism part. If the need for criticism crosses a threshold, then it becomes obvious that your interests do not align with those of the game, and hence there's no point in remaining a volunteer for the game.1 point

Well, seems by design to me. The entire point of the +1 - 3 and -5 step thing is to give players an illusion that they can make it with the resources they have. And in case anyone missed that, the Devs never mentioned the appearance of the -5 steps thing is random. It just says it "may" happen. And the hidden message? Well, you will get that.1 point

Tornado Augment revamp: (My Opinion) Advantages: Salvo reload time: -66% Maximum rocket speed: +500% (because it's legit tornado) Final Angular Velocity: +35% Aiming recovery time: +20% Disadvantages: Minimum rocket speed: -90% Aiming Time: +50% Initial angular velocity: -x% Arcade reload time: +25% or 50% Turret rotation speed: -15% This was my idea of the augment when it was first released in the Arcade event, but recently after the Scorpion aiming nerf, the augment underperforms in most scenarios.People can evade the rockets easily at long range and in mid ranges, the rockets barely manage to hit the targert and it's tier too is lowered and it would be unfair considering in the Arcade event, all teams got Red Tier Augments but now it turns out that Tornado is Yellow Tier. I really hope the devs look forward to this idea as: Would make the players who already have the augment a strategic way to play the augment. Make so that the augment works only in short-mid range as we already have enough augments for Scorpion that work well in both Short and long range, like the spear and swarm. Justice for people who got the augment from Arcade event. Reduction of Campers. The augment would stay true to its name, something that starts off slow, but gets devastating as it finishes developing. The devs would definitely have the liberty to tinker the values to make the augments balanced, as I don't have a clear idea on how the augment would perform in-game.1 point

With all the attention you gave Scorpion and its augments, you sure did a good job of ignoring Wolfpack. An impractical augment being carried by Scorpion's overtuned paramaters and now that it's been nerfed still nothing is being done with Wolfpack.1 point

Nerf Magnum Vacuum core please. Its absurd that you can deal 5k damage with brutus, and even more with crisis. As long as the opposing team has a vaccum magnum using crisis, it is impossible to use any light hull. I use crisis and even with the armor boost from crisis you get 1tapped by the magnum augment.0 points
