And you assume because he is playing well he is using the camera controls? But I see your point. Yes, ok. You win. I was going into an argument over an issue I didn't really have all that much experience about: having not much experience at using camera controls, I had no idea. I still think that sticking behind a wall all day is a pathetic waste of your railgun, and it is, railgun has a lot more potential. But at the same time, there is a way of looking over the wall: albeit, you do get a better view in clear sight.
-
Of course I noticed that, although I couldn't see Coolone's camera view. So you can't include him in your statement. Even so, you are playing in Sandbox. What type of large buildings are there in sandbox? You don't need it at Bird's eye view to see over the wall. But what if you are in a bigger map, say, Serpulhov? What then? You won't be able to see over without a maximum or near-maximum camera height, and that does severely limit your range.
-
Hmm... I actually do notice that I use camera controls very little, primarily using "Z" and "X" in the entirety for camera controls, which does work me well. Even so, you fail to realise one thing. In a ranged map, using enough "Page Up" to see over the taller buildings, how much range do you have to see enemies? Not enough I would expect, although I need to test it out for myself.
-
How is it invalid? Surely if you are hiding behind a building and only coming out to take your shot you are going to have very little knowledge of where the enemies are who have been weakened, and the like.

I do that a lot... :P How to get through schoolwork :P Try the downloader again?

And that 10k would have made a difference how?

No problem, I've got exams as well this year... :(

1. Good point. 2. Use DP if Vikings and Mammoths are proving annoying :P 3. This is how to play railgun - if your playing for D/L. The fact is, this tactic is what most people think how to use railgun - but it is by no means the most effective. If you use this tactic, you have no real sight at your targets, no real way of knowing who is weakened and who is not, no way of seeing even if there is an enemy there. It's effective for D/L but nothing else. The way I played (now I primarily use thunder) railgun and got 2.00 D/Ls BUT got my kills faster than other m3 railguns who were using the hide-behind-wall technique was: -Don't go haring through the middle of a map. Stick to the edges, but there's no need to hide behind one wall the whole time. That's just cowardly and ineffective. The only map where that's any good is Camp. -Shoot at range. Shoot people who are well far away from you. Railgun is a sniper weapon, not a melee! -Use turret turning all the time. This is an absolute necessity with railgun. -Keep an eye out on everything. Then you know who to shoot with your shot, who to kill steal from, or who to one-shot. -Don't get into a firefight with something that will beat you, eg an m3 thunder or a higher m railgun. Now, when I use m3 thunder, I love all the m3 (or even lower!) railguns who, when I shoot them, just shoot back and try to win a battle they will obviously lose. Nope, if you are a railgun and get caught up in a firefight with a m2/3 thunder, back off and get out of the thunder's line of sight, find another spot to camp in, and live to fight another day! This is a really important tactic. -Use any obstacles that you have around you. Remember that all you need, if you fight against people of a similar rank to you, is two shots on your enemy before they are dead. So if you buy yourself enough time to let off that second shot, then you win! Run circles around even the smallest obstacles to avoid that freeze or firebird - one I particularly love is the bottom of the big ramp in polygon. As long as you dodge the enemy fire for enough time to let off that second shot, it's all good. -You can use walls, but if you just hide behind one all the time, your only using your railgun to about 30/40% of it's full potential. There's really no point to do it. -Don't be afraid to mine. Mine out your sniping positions, mine when your backing off from freezes, mine as you go round a corner to escape that stalking thunder, mine when you land on top of an enemy, mine inside an enemy ghost when they respawn right where you are - you'll be surprised how effective mines can be! -Double Power. Use 'em. But not when anyone's looking. -Don't use the same position all the time. People can then find you and can set out particularly to find you (they find snipers more annoying than melees, for some reason). So try to change position each death you get. Try not to use the same position twice in a row. -Turn any position into a sniping position. Locate your escape routes, your weak points, the location of the enemies, the direction you'll normally shoot, etc. Once you've done that, mine out your weakest point, and watch out for that sneaky freeze or rico! With a lot of practise, you'll turn this into a habit - I even do it now with thunder, even though it isn't so necessary. I like your guide, although you did put down the point that gets me so annoyed because most people think it's the way to use railgun when it most certainly isn't. You also failed to note one of the most annoying things about railgun - I found it's quite difficult to get crystal boxes and kills at the same time - you have to prioritise one or the other.

Still Sunday.... :(

Good job team! We didn't get so many keys and clicks this month, but we got lots of new members, and hopefully we can all keep pulsing and get stronger and stronger!

I don't need war to win.

Been there for ages, if you want to see it with props, go to the tanki 2.0 demo: http://alternativaplatform.com/en/demos/crash/ And there you see the same map, just with full props and colour. ;)

Konami gave us PES, thus it is the best.
