XP or Rating - what good is it? After the 123 update, even without buying XP, a player can barely upgrade a gun and a hull once it unlocks(i.e. when the player rank up).That is concentrating on only one gun one tank combo. Let alone the paints. Think about it, do your mathematics. Do you want to be a Major with M1 guns and hulls? The mammoth M2 unlock at Major costing 76,700 crystals, having 300 hp. , so will the Rustle paint which has good protection against Thunder (32%), Freeze (20%) and Isida (10%) costing 90,500 crystals, or the Hohloma costing 108,500 crystals. A bit later at Colonel, the Smokey M2 is unlocked, and believe me , this gun is so powerful that a lot of Gneralissimos are using them at M2. This gun will set you back 114,800 crystals.Summing it all up you'll need 282,000 crystals and you'll have M2 combo of Mammoth and Smokey with Rustle... ONLY! A combo of M2 Twins and Mammoth is 17,800 crystals higher. With these combos you will be competitive in any game of medium sized maps, and you'll be on the correct and easier path to Marshal and higher. So, come on guys, think about it.. rank and rating is all about 'bragging' nothing more than that. Unless you are the 'super rich' kind of which I tend to assume most are not, OR, you don't intend to play this game until the highest rank.. then it will be a different scenario .... A word of advise..Play the game.....WISELY! ;)

What you mentioned is correct about Thunder vs Smokey... IF the 'Crit' happen, IF not, the Thunder win. That's the reason why most Smokey players use the Titan or Mammoth, between 4 to 5 shots is required for the Thunder to kill it of which by then the 'Crit' would most probably happen. p.s. nice name... Thunder Crash(ed) :lol:

A newb entering a high rank battle is of course a noob, which I used to do when I was a newb. But then, that was about 2 years ago... not knowing that we were able to select servers to play, so I just chose whatever map that accepted my rank... OP, every player has to go thru' the Noob phase.You remembered yours,I remembered mine and so do all other players. However, my opinion is that a player has to 'suffer' a bit to become a good player. There's not much use of being a Marshal when you are not even able to turn your turret, let alone running for cover while shooting at the player chasing you from behind with you NOS equipped. In other words, mastering the tank control. Nowadays, since the XP can be bought, I see a lot, and I mean A LOT of Generals and above who can't even turn the turrets yet, let alone to master the tank controls. I don't usually play CTF games, but when I do, I see a lot of mid rank players with hornets equipped with cheap paints guarding the Flag! When attacked they would run for cover and let the higher amoured with better gun players do the defending. They will be back to return the flag. Yesterday I entered in Polygon map seeing only 3 Marshals were playing. Equipped with Hornet and Rail, I battled against 3 Vikings, 2 equipped with Thunder and one with Freeze. All were M3. The Thunders were swearing throughout the whole game calling me Noob, Stupid etc.etc., while the Freeze quit at halfway. THEY COULDN'T EVEN TURN THE TURRET!! Seroiusly, do you really want those kinds of players to be our future players? For me, I will continue to kill them, outwit them (even though then tend to use drugs to kill me) with the intention to educate them, rather than let them have an easy time of gaining XP and Crystals. For they are... OUR FUTURE PLAYERS! :)

Max, sad to say but obviously you are not THE GREAT as your name says. If you don't mind me asking, what guns do you have? What guns do you mostly use? What maps do you usually play? What paints do you have? Is this your main account? If so, wait till you become a Marshall where most m3 were unlocked. You don't seem to understand the other gunners( the Freeze in paticular) as 'obstacles' for you to achieve you target. From what I'd read in this particular topic, almost all guns were mentioned as overpowered, Freeze, Firebird, Isida, Twins and Rail. I would say that these are THE guns that YOU should have since you like to play in CTF battles. I tend to assume that you do have Thunder as one of main weapons and you like to play in small to medium maps. Do you?
