The only difference is that one has a name; the other does not and hence is called spamming flooding. -

What happens in forum games, should stay in forum games. It's alright if you think otherwise ~ Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. -

Why it is forbidden to publicly discuss moderation.
r_AdvocatusDiaboli0 replied to semyonkirov in Archive
Suggestion: Allows the community to upvote/downvote moderator's posts, it allows a good way to provide feedback from the community without using words. Have moderators make a new post when they ban someone or take any decision instead of editing a user's post, delete the original post only when it has profanity or other explicit stuff. Explanation: Public discussions aren't allowed, no one said we can't just do +1 or -1; let us. If the mod is right he shouldn't care about having -10 votes, if he is wrong then he gets to think about it, no need to use any words at all. Regarding the second suggestion, it just gives the community some ease of mind, that a mod can't just delete their entire message just because they disagree with it. Reason: There is no way for the community to provide mass-feedback on a moderator's decision without starting a witch-hunt. The feature which is completely harmless is already on the forum, just let the community use it. -

A post count is not just a number. It shows how experienced a user is. A person with 10 posts will not be taken as seriously as say one with 4000. Therefore it shows how much experience a user has It is the only way to know how "serious" a person is in his statements because there is nothing else to see on the forum except his rank. It shows how dedicated a person is to the forum. It gives an idea of the vast experience the user has had during his time in the game and forum. It shows how epic a person is. Increasing a post count just for the sake of it is called trolling and flooding; gets you banned; posting in forum games for the sake of just increasing your post count makes a forum game go severely off-topic; it ruins the fun in them. -

It would be fair to people who only post to help and discuss, Right now if I want to get 100+ posts a day the only way to do that is to go to the forum games section -
I do not approve this campaign

Because the posts don't account to any discussion and are just for fun; hence, no post count increase. -
Thanks Sem for the answer. Most active forums have threads that cannot be posted in after a few weeks, some even have features where only the OP can bump threads - where as in some the OP can also lock his own thread.
-
It's the norm in many forums, old threads get automatically closed and moved to Archive. If a thread is in archive the users can just make a new one and link to the archived thread for reference of discussion.

Why would anyone complain about getting free crystals? Just change your password and make sure you logout before leaving if you play on a shared computer.

There should be a separate button for music and Game-SFX

You can turn off the background sound through the "Background sound" button, AFAICR. -
@Moderators, What is necroposting?
r_AdvocatusDiaboli0 replied to r_AdvocatusDiaboli0 in @Moderators, What is necroposting? Archive
I remember making a thread about this few years back and discussing this; would like a review Obviously, bumping a thread just for the sale of bumping is against the rules, but; Is it against the rules to bump a thread for further discussion? Is it against the rules to bump a thread to share your opinion on the discussion that was happening? If so, why aren't threads automatically locked after a pre-set amount of time? (the feature is present) When exactly does necroposting become a ban-able offense? If necro-posting in all forms are ban-able then do we make a new thread every time we want to talk about an old topic? TL;DR: Some people make new threads about old topics because they are afraid of getting banned for necroposting. -
We don't need more maps, we need the current maps to be updated and made better, there are several things that are making the current maps stale and not fun to play.
