It's pretty useful to both attack and defend! Freeze is the weapon with a huge layer of dust on it in my garage. :p

What maps do you mostly play in? What hull do you mostly use?

Thunder for me. Freeze is rather boring in my opinion. Hammer hits a lot, but reloads quite slowly after 3 fast shots while you're relatively close to your opponents due to the range of this weapon. Thunder can cause self-destruct, but you can kill enemies from far away. It has a great range. Even though the splash damage has been decreased, it's still very useful. Digital: This paint offers a nice Railgun protection, but that's it. The 10% Shaft and 13% Smoky are not really worth the crystals, so I'd already eliminate this paint. Spark: You are given a great protection from a very fearsome, powerful weapon, Ricochet. Firebird is a dangerous weapon as well, so some protection always comes in handy. 15% isn't so much, but it's already (a bit) noticeable. The 10% Twins protection isn't really noticeable. Rustle: Thunder really is a very powerful turret since the new balance. It deals massive damage. The 32% protection is really welcome. Freezes can be quite irritating and they do hit much too, so the 20% Freeze protection is a big positive point as well. 10% protection from Isida is not that much, but it's something. :p If I were you, I wouldn't buy Digital for sure. It's rarely/never used by players with high ranks. I'd base my choice between Spark and Rustle on what weapons are annoying me the most in battles or are most commonly used.

This game is not all about the money, but note that the game wouldn't exist without money. You're not obliged to spend money to the game. It's free to play. Crystal boxes won't be brought back. It's difficult to compare hulls to turrets. If you don't have a turret m2, but already have a hull m2, go for Isida m2. If you don't have a hull m2, but already have a weapon m2, go for Hornet m2. If what I mentioned is not your case, I'd first go for Isida m2. You can hide behind one of your teammates and heal them. With Isida m2, you'll be able to keep your teammates alive longer. With Hornet m1, you must make sure to hide, so you don't get hit by enemies yourself as hornet m2 hasn't got so much health. Thunder m2 + m3. Smoky hits more since the new balance, but still not enough to equal Thunder. The decrease of the critical hit is also a reason to buy Thunder instead of Smoky. Hammer hits a lot with 3 fast shots. Unfortunately after these 3 shots, you have to reload which takes quite some time while you you're standing relatively close to your opponents due tot the limited range. Thunder hits a lot too, but reloads a bit more slowly. Though it's a nice weapon to play with, funnier than Hammer and Smoky in my opinion. It deals massive damage and has a much longer range than Hammer. You must only be aware of the fact that you can hurt yourself. The splash damage indeed is decreased, but it's still useful. :) I'd go for choice 1. Freeze is a rather boring weapon if u use it on a medium/heavy hull in my opinion. The speed of light hulls makes freeze an enjoyable weapon for me, but on Viking it's rather boring. I suggest you not to buy paints inside 100k. It's better to spend some more crystals to paints with a decent, useful protection than spending less crystals on paints you wish you didn't buy because they don't offer enough protection in battles. :p Thunder m3 is a great weapon in my opinion and fits perfectly on Viking m3. This is just my opinion of course. Please base your choices on more opinions. :)
