I'll most probably play another game then, but that's just a worst case scenario. :p

The Romans are quite interesting, but that's it for me.

You can buy Inferno instead of Zeus if smoky doesn't annoy you too much. The 12% Twins protection is hardly noticeable, but it has some decent fire and freeze protection. :) Clay doesn't really have a cheaper similar paint. It's more unique. If you MU Clay's Thunder protection 5 times, which doesn't cost too much yet, you already have 32% Thunder protection. :)

Since the release of Hammer and Vulcan accompanied by their new paints, I see less players with paints with Thunder protection than before. Thunder is quite good in Polygon CP, especially in Polygon CP, because a lot of opponents are standing close to each other near the Control Point. The special ability of Thunder, the splash damage, lets you hit several opponents at the same time and therefore gives you some kind of "advantage" in Polygon CP. Also don't forget that Thunder deals massive damage with every shot. :D

1. Try not to buy too many paints that unlock at low ranks. These paints are getting more useless the more you rank up. If I really have to change between the two paints you mentioned, I'd go for dragon as ricochet is a notoriously commonly used weapon that deals massive damage. 2.Sales are unknown, but the next sale will probably take place on June 4, TO's Birthday! 3. Viking is both good at defending as well as attacking. Hornet really is an attacking hull to grab the flag away with its high speed. Viking is useful in all kind of maps in my opinion. Hornet on the contrary doesn't really work in small maps. If you choose Hornet and you manage to get Hornet m2 (withRailgun m2 and a 20% protection paint against Railgun), you can start playing XP-battles. Maybe this can help you make your decision. :) The 22% extra protection can make a difference in PRO-battles without MU if the opponent team is full of Thunders which rarely happens. The other protection offered by Thunder are quite useless in my opinion. 10% Railgun is negligible. 26% is a decent amount of protection, but I think Twins isn't such a dangerous and it's not used that often. Most of the PRO-battles have got the MU-option on and if you MU Clay a bit, you can let Emerald pass away. :P Moreover Clay has decent protection against Railgun and a massive protection against Ricochet which is more dangerous than twins. So buying Emerald if you buy Clay is not worth it. I have both paints and the last time I used Emerald was more than 6 months ago. :)

I'd also suggest you to go for Clay, even though you still have to rank up a few times to unlock it. I can't find any other paint with thunder protection accompanied by a decent protection against firebird or ricochet. Prodigi only has 22% thunder, but a useless 5% fire protection. Loam has some nice fire protection, but only 10% thunder protection which makes it a waste of crystals in my opinion.
