The sense in which you wrote it was different. You wrote 'You do not need a car'. In reality, you cannot keep a car at all, making all long-distance transportation dependent on boats. People living there must be healthy... sea breeze and no cars.

I'm not saying that I fully support the current education system, I am just saying that there are some stuff that we HAVE to learn before we move on. Learning about the past is in some cases important. It is the always the education that is full of problems, the way we take them is what spoils our lives. If we take education just for the sake of learning, education will be much easier.

They teach you this stuff so you know what's actually going around in the world. If you were just allowed to do what you liked and not taught what you didn't want to learn, you would just be a self-centered person with no idea what's going on because you'll be living in your own Utopia of things you wanted to do.
