I prefer Ricochet over Freeze. Why? Because most enemies don't use RICO protection. I see PYTHONS everywhere I go. I rarely see Zeus. Spark is less common than Python. And about Thunder? I see very few Emeralds and Needles. It is either THUNDER or RICOCHET for you. What Tier 1 weapon were you best with? If Smoky, then THUNDER. Vise/Versa.
