Yes, according to the latest V-LOG they're planning on replacing the star tiers with the kill tiers. I'd say the way rewards are handed out and the ability to keep proper track of your progress are big improvements over the old system. However, when looking at effort vs reward, I'd say the kill tiers were better. It's unclear though how long future events will last and how high the rewards will be. I hope it will cater a bit more for the players who don't have as much time to spare too.
