Buy Rico m3, it's strong + you can shot from anywhere, but fire bird is good for small maps. So if you play in big map, buy rico m3 or if you always play in small map, such as island, sandbox, boombox then i will recommend you to buy firebird m3 :)

It's not hard to get out from the battle though, you just need to click on ESC+Enter or Red "X"+Enter, this isn't hard. So no need to make any changes for that.

I don't mind playing with isida in CTF battle. With isida you can get fast score and you can heal your self, that's why i love isida :P

Did you try Standalone flash player?, if not, I suggest you to try playing on Standalone flash players, it gives high FPS and low Pings.
