Well when you untick the hardware acceleration, make sure you close the browser and re-open it and then go to setting, you will see some options are not there, e.g Dust, Shadow under tank, but it depends on which browser you are using. Are you sure the, battle you entred it was for your friend rank?, was the "invite to battle" color was like this If yes, that mean the battle was not for your friend rank. Before you join any battle, you will see it shows rank limit on "Battle info" box like this , as you can see in the picture, to join that battle you need to be at least rank captin. Therefore if you want to play with friends, first check if the battle is for your friend rank.
