This is the start of a new series Raphael and I will be doing, taking a look at our journey of making a new account. On the 29th of November, I was bored and somehow thought of the name 'EatYourVegetables'. I went and made the account, and started to play on it for a bit of fun and relieving the boredom of that particular day. I continued playing on it, and Raphael and I had the idea to start a kind of blog about our journey of starting new accounts on the 5th of Dec. So what's been happening? Having played with various other low ranked accounts, I knew Railgun was a good choice for doing well in the battles at low ranks, camping and kill stealing was pretty effective. So I promptly ranked to Private and bought a Railgun. Hunter is a pretty decent hull, so I decided not to get another hull, most likely Hornet, just yet. I reached Corporal on the 2nd day of having the account, and some of my clan members decided to copy me and create 'EatYour...' accounts :lol: I continued to gain xp, and next day, the third day I had the account, I reached Master Corporal and in the same battle caught a gold box! I managed to position myself in a place where I could cover a few likely places where the gold might drop, and it fell right in front of me, so the poor drugging Mammoth in the pic didn't have a chance. :lol: I got to about 4000 xp and was playing in a Fort Knox when a gold alert appeared. At this point I now had some drugs, but hadn't used any as I had so little it wasn't worth using them in normal battles, however, a gold, and a 2014 gold at that was different! So I waited a few seconds, before activating my drugs and again sitting in a spot where I could see over most of the places where the gold might fall and also be able to shoot anyone near it. Luckily, again it fell near me and all I had to do was jump down and take it, much to the annoyance of everyone else in the battle. That poor Twins in this pic just didn't see it! I seem to be better at getting golds on this account than my main one! After that I stopped playing on that account as I had bought a Score Multiplier Pass on my WO1 account in the 90% sale, and so was mostly playing on that instead. The next time I played on it was when the Twitter contest 'Where have I seen that?' came out on the 14th of December. I thought 20,000 crystals was too good an offer to miss out on, but at Master Corporal, there are only three red container available, all on the map 'Novel'. I had 3000 XP to go until Sergeant, where 2042 and many, many red containers were unlocked and I had three days to get the XP. I got it in two days, and created a Twitter account for this account and posted my five screenshots. I somehow got 40,000 from the contest (I'm not complaining!) and so currently, I'm a Sergeant with almost 47,000 crystals. Not bad. :lol: I haven't played on it much since then, as the aforementioned Score Multiplier Pass only runs out at the start of January and I want to get to WO2 for the New Year sale! I have bought some Micro Upgrades, once on my Hunter's health as it was only 1 Crystal, and 3 times on my Railgun to help me have more chance to one shot Hornets! I've played a variety of battles, mainly TDM and CTF, and not had a large ratio of battles won to battles lost, or vice versa. If I do lose, it's usually to do with my team, nothing to do with me! :lol: Hopefully I will play a bit more next month and will have more to write about. I am considering buying some new things in the sale seeing as I have so many crystals, Hornet, Thunder and Ricochet are the things I'm considering. I am kind of interested in my rating on this account, not to the point of leaving battles before I'm killed, but maintaining a decent positive ratio. Currently, it goes up by about 100,000 every time I play and is at 2.5 million. So that's the start of my new account, now let's see what Raphael has been up to! Day 1 (06/12/2013) I start a new account named PaperWriter (fig. 1). The first thing I do is to go to the garage to see what I've got, what I can buy, and what I'm gonna buy in the future. I have Hunter and Smoky M0, I can buy Firebird, Twins, Wasp and Titan M0. I decide not to do anything. I join a Fort Knox CTF, the battle ends a few seconds after my entry in it, and I notice that I don't like Hunter. I go back to my garage and get Titan M0. I join a Sandbox DM, and there, critical hits are literally raining. I rank up to Private, get to the second place even though I joined 5 minutes before the end (fig. 2) and then I buy Railgun M0, which I have unlocked with Dictator M0. I join the same DM, it doesn't work as perfectly as Smoky, and there are a lot of Mammoths and Titans, which need 3 shoots to be killed, and that is really annoying. I rank up to Gefreiter (fig. 3), I've only unlocked Thunder, Hornet and Mammoth M0, and my current combo work fine with me, so I don't buy anything and join a Sandbox TDM game. I get killed twice before I can reach the little house, and start serious play. I get 14 kills straight, shooting only when I am sure to kill the enemy (fig. 4). Then, I join a Fort Know CTF battle again, and I have to face fast and furious Wasps using supplies. I am on the point of quitting, when I hear a siren. I go as fast as I can in the middle of the map, where the most crystals are falling. I get killed by the drugging Wasp/Thunder. My Titan is so slow that I can't reach the drop zone a second time and I see the gold box being taken from my base. I quit and join a Serpuhov CTF, Titan and Railgun works extremely well and I kill 10 tanks before a bunch of drugging Wasps with Firebird, Thunder and Railgun attack our base. I get killed 4 times and I leave the battle to buy Wasp M0, and Forester at a 50% discount. Pleased with my day, I log off. Recap + 921 points + Day 2 (08/12/2013) After my last few games with Railgun, I decide to go back to my beloved Smoky. I find a great Highland battle in which I can stay safe and fire from behind cover. I steal a lot of kills from Railguns, as they don't one-shot Hornet, I just have to shoot once, and bam, 10 points! (fig. 1) I rank up to Corporal (fig. 2), and finish my second battle, which is a little bit worse due to two Freeze druggers (fig. 3). I decide to go back to my Rail, in a Fort Knox battle. It doesn't work as well as I would have liked, especially resulting from a drugging Thunder who's hunting me (fig. 4). 0_0 Finally, I join a Sandbox CTF game. I just stay in my base, stealing kills from the Wasp/Firebird who can be seen in the final screen. To finish in style, I capture the last flag! (fig. 5) Afraid not to do any better today, I close my browser. Recap +912 points Day 3 (13/12/2013) Wohoo! I get my first drugs bonus (fig. 1). I decide to buy Twins, and I mount it on Wasp. It seems to work fine, even in Sandbox DM, as you just have to circle around newbies and steal kills when two players are dueling. It is a fun battle! (fig. 2). Seing that Lham is online, we decide to have a little battle together. I equip Hunter and Rail to be his twin, we join a Sandbox DM, but he's doing way better than me (something like a D/L of 20), and I leave the battle before the end in order to leave him the fund (that is the official version, it is just a shame-quit informally :P). Later, we join a Sandbox TDM, I feel safer in his team. The battle is just routine, we camp in the enemy base or we drive around in the mid-field. As you can see by our points, I am miserably stealing kills while on his side, he is doing the whole job himself :unsure:. (fig. 3) Recap + 868 points + Day 4 (28/12/2013) Update 208 gives me a nice gift, 160 crystals are a lot for me (yes, Lham has 47k crystals while I'm hanging out with 700 crystals :blink:) (fig. 1). I micro-upgrade the first step of my Titan's protection and Railgun's damage (fig. 2). I decide to play my first New Year battle with them (fig. 3) and it works well! The Railgun MU helps a lot, I am sure to one-shot Wasps, before it used to be like tossing a coin. I see my first M1, a Smoky who keeps hunting me. He's really annoying! I'll probably upgrade my Railgun's damage further, because I want to one shot those Hornets... :ph34r: Recap + 405 points + So that's what I've done with recently. Next month, expect a little bit more, and I hope to have a great present from the Quest and the "Decorate a Christmas Tree" contest. Will I catch up EatYourVegetables? Quick note from Lham after seeing Raphael's part: I remember the battle in Raph's Day 3 Fig 3, we would have won if my rail had reloaded 0.1 seconds earlier, a freeze killed me as I was charging and the battle had a second to go.
