I try to standardize the rules across all records, so no alt account submission allowed for any records. There are exceptions however, and as usual I will try my best to explain them when they come up.

For insulting, trolling, flaming and destroying the discussion in this thread, and also being banned for long periods of time elsewhere.

Correct, and she's been around for a while. Will update member list for Rus and Ger leagues asap.

It actually does make a difference. Getting a kill record with a Sergeant is much much easier than with a Gissimo, considering all the noobs.

Don't you remember the announcement? It makes your tank jump. The smaller the tank, the higher the jump.

    [Issue 26] Parody 2

So I was pretty happy with the results from the last contest, even though I was slightly disappointed with the small number of good entries. I want to continue this contest with a new twist. In stead of writing a parody of a song, you will now have to take an existing parody, and record your own voice singing the parody lyrics to an instrumental version of the song. I provide both the lyrics and the instrumental tracks! 1. You may only pick a song from the list below, and only one song at that. 2. Use whatever method works best for you to record your voice to the instrumental track. 3. You may only submit one entry. 4. Your video/audio may be uploaded to http://youtube.com or http://soundcloud.com - no other hosts will be acceptable. 5. First three places will get 50 000, 30 000, and 20 000 crystals, respectively. If none of the entries meet my requirements (or say only one), the prize will go to no one (or that one entry). 6. Entries will be accepted until the 25th of September. 7. Entries will be judged according to the following criteria: a. Singing - how well you can keep the key, stay true to the melody, etc b. Timing - how well you know the song, how well you fit the lyrics to the music c. Feeling - how well you express the emotion of the song, enthusiasm, sadness, etc d. Quality of the recording - amount of noise, feedback and distortion, etc I know this is no easy task, but I figured I'd give it a shot and see who wants to participate. The reward is also bigger than last time, as it will take a lot more work and effort to participate in the contest. Best of luck! Parody lyrics and instrumental tracks: 1. Hotel California - download 2. Monster - download 3. Demons - download

    [Issue 26] Parody Contest

Yo Tankers, the time has come to announce the results of this contest. It was actually quite hard to pick the finalists, and I had to settle for 2 second places and 2 third places, although first place was quite obvious from the moment I started readting it. So here they are: First place: 20 000 @Thekillerpenguin - link to entry, text below: Second places: 15 000 @Triniset - link to entry, text below: @mookerold - link to entry, text below: Third places: 10 000 @rocket900 - link to entry, text below: @Gangham_Style - link to entry, text below: Huge thanks to the person who helped me sort through the entries!

The above posts don't clarify anything. I'm not expressing the desire to be added to yet another spam group, I'm just asking who or what defines a "famous player".

Unfortunately the programming is done by Russian people, and so far no one in our community with the required skills has taken the initiative to change that. Never the less, you really don't need to read anything, the use of the software is very simple, basic and straightforward, so you shouldn't have any problems.

    [Issue 26] Stuck

Phillip squeezed his eyes with displeasure as the ray of sunshine crawled lazily up his cheek. He couldn't help the long yawn that escaped his mouth as he stretched his limbs as far as they could go. Rolling over onto his other side, he lazily pulled up the covers over his face and sighed. And then all of a sudden like a kid on Christmas he threw his covers off, jumped hastily onto the thick furry carpet covering the floor of his small room, and dashed over to the simple gaming rig in the corner of the room he took so much pride in. "Double Funds!" he whispered gleefully to himself. Yup, today was the first day of the week of celebration of Tanki's birthday, and Phillip had made sure he had ample free time to make use of those double funds. He powered up his computer, then ran down the stairs to make himself a lopsided sandwich, and was back in an instant to hear the glorious yet so annoying Windows start-up sound. Within minutes he was in his garage, thoughtfully scrolling through his items while chewing the lump of bread and salami that was being squeezed in his chubby hand. "Today I wanna drug full time, let me take some fatty combo" he thought aloud, and proceeded to equip his M2 Titan and M2 Smoky. Though he was only a General, Phillip was ranking with extreme speed. He had heard about the game from a friend from school about 5 months ago, and wasted no time in proving his skills to his friends. Like them he had no money to buy items in the game, but what he did have was time, and so he used every minute to earn those precious crystals, which he would anyway waste on drugs. But oh well, he loved it. The green bar was slowly moving across the screen, loading the elements from the Silence battle he chose, while his head was bobbing up and down, as would usually happen to someone who is chewing and leaning their head on their arm at the same time. "Come on, come on" he exclaimed impatiently. Seconds later (which felt like minutes to the eager boy, I might add) he was on the bottom of Silence, driving as fast toward the ramp as his fat tank would allow, fully utilizing the "1", "2" and "3" buttons on his keyboard, and pooping mines as he went. He joined a losing battle, his team having captured no flags, while his opponents capture 5. But he was certain that with 100 flags to go, and over 400 of each supply in his garage, he wasn't going to lose easy. Minutes turned to hours (as they usually do) and Phillip didn't notice even a little. What was more surprising, was that the rumble he could feel under his buttox or the deafening sound that boomed by his left ear as the Thunder projectile exploded behind him didn't seem strange to him, so engrossed was he in the battle. The keyboard had morphed into a set of strange controls, levers and buttons, but Phillip instinctively knew how to use them all. His screen widened into a full-width display of the outside of the tank, and the walls around him shrank into a tiny control room. It wasn't until the he carried the 100th flag to base and heard the strange sound of real people victoriously cheering, that he realized something was terribly wrong. He looked with uncertainty around at the controls surrounding him, and saw the small circular door above his head. His uncertainty was slowly turning into panic, and he could hardly control his shaking hands. Slowly he unlatched the door, and jumped back as it popped open with a loud "psssstt" as the pressure from the cabin was released. Hesitantly he stuck his head out of the tank and squinted as the bright sun hit his face. So much to take in at once, Phillip's mouth hung agape. The weak dry breeze hit his face, carrying with it the scent of mechanical oil and fuel. The red and yellow buildings he knew so well, were towering high above his head, riddled with bullet holes of smaller turrets, and huge gaping crevices of large projectiles. Glass lay shattered everywhere, and rusty containers were so deformed, they no longer resembled any geometrical form. Bits of destroyed tanks, mostly track parts, were scattered across the ground, joined by craters of activated mines. In the distance a distinct sound of retreating tanks could be heard, accompanied by the occasional explosion of a randomly fired mock projectile from the happy victors. Phillip stared at all this for a few minutes without being able to even think. He didn't even notice his name being called, until it was yelled so loud (and for the 5th time) that all the other tankers stopped their chatter and turned to look at him. "Y.. yes?" Phillip muttered quietly. "I see your call-sign is phillip123, I figured that was your name, am I right?" the stranger continued. "Yea, that's me." Phillip replied gingerly. "You ok? You're just standing there. Will you play another battle? We need a guy with supplies like you." "I... I don't know, I'm not feeling well." In deed, all this made Phillip feel quite sick. "Whatever, bro." The stranger said nonchalantly, as he climbed back into his tank. The others shrugged, and did the same, leaving Phillip still sticking out of his tank, clueless as to what he should do. The others started driving around, waiting for a new team to gather, but after some minutes of no results, they slowly started disappearing. This looked quite strange actually, having a huge tank drive a front of you, and then just disappear into thin air with no warning. "Guess I'll be going as well," the stranger said again "I doubt anyone is coming." "Wait," Phillip called out desperately "I need to ask you something." "What is it?" the stranger stopped his tank and stuck his head out again. "Are you... inside the tank?" The stranger paused for a second, and then started laughing hysterically. "Well of course I am, isn't that what our video says? 'You aren't controlling the tank, you are the tank!'" hi mimicked the voice that can be heard narrating most movie trailers. "That's not what I mean. Are you physically inside the tank, do you feel the rumble, do you smell the fuel?" Phillip was getting annoyed by this stranger. The stranger stopped laughing and just stared. "What on earth are you talking about, I'm sitting in my room drinking chocolate milk, and wasting my time chatting to a noob like you." He hopped back into his tank, closed the latch behind him, and within seconds his tank also disappeared. Phillip was at loss for what to do, there was no "disappear" button in the controls, and the air was getting cooler by the minute, as the sun started slowly crawling down the sky again. He looked around and spotted a large door in the side of one of the buildings. "A good start I guess." He said to himself, as he crawled back into the tank, and reached for the ignition button. To be continued...

    ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Actually it isn't. A short burst of cold water is known to be healthy, and generally improve your immunity to the cold. Of course that is provided you are in a warm environment, and your body temperature stays up throughout. You can do some running before and after to keep your body warm, if it makes you feel better. In Russia it is common for people to go swimming in a lake in the middle of winter, as a way to strengthen their health. This has been done for hundreds of years, and has proven to improve their immunity to cold and make them healthier. Usually it's done between sessions of sitting in a very hot sauna. Of course people with a weak heart shouldn't try this type of thing. Though in general I'm all for supporting charities, you should also do some of your own research before donating to what others say is great. I personally don't think donating money is as effective as donating time, that's why I have been personally doing volunteer work for my whole life. Someone's research below, see what a huge cut the administration takes... Not to mention that the charity (with all the money they've received) have practically got no results over the period of their existence. And lastly I want yall to know that I pretty much did the ALS challenge pro-style when I was 12 (still living in Siberia):
