Small maps appear everyone. These maps are usually the ones that players would resort to if they want a fast paced Capture the Flag battle. Capturing more flags, and concentrating your opponents in a small location is a formula equaling lots of experience. As the size of the maps is on the low end of the scale, many forget about the importance of strategy while battling, other than making a blind run towards the flag. Surprisingly, strategy helps in these battles more than they would in larger maps, where numbers and ranks is usually the key to success. Concentration in small maps is an obstacle for those attacking to grab the flag, while 3 or 4 players are defending right beside it. So, let this be your guide in creating your team and setting up strategies for succeeding in these battles! This is not the smallest map in the game, but it is definitely a popular choice for having a small 5v5 battle in. As well, Capture the Flag is the only mode that is played in this map at a regular basis, because of its equal sides. Advantages of Zone > All of the weapons are effective here, from shaft to Isida. > Flag captures happen in a matter of seconds, gameplay speed is quick. > Lots of places to camp, protect, and defend. > You can see the whole map from any location with a little effort. Disadvantages of Zone > Concentration gives Freeze a large advantage if defending behind a hidden wall. > Numerous routes to flag, difficult to defend. Best Team (In a team of 4) Weapon Choice > 1 Freeze, 1 Isida, 1 Rail, 1 Smoky Hull Choice > Mammoth (Freeze and Smoky), Hornet (Isida and Rail) Paint Choice > Lava/Python/Inferno Defense Mode The best defence in this game is to have the rail guard the entries to the base. The Freeze should be just beside the flag, behind either the slope onto the bridge, or the wall close to the flag. Have the Isida healing only, the best choice is to heal the Freeze, since it can slow the attackers. The Smoky should stay as a mid-fielder and help out with what the Rail or Freeze could not finish. It is often effective in distracting and disallowing the enemy to aim. Offense Mode Offense mode is often easier than defense, since there are numerous ways to grab the flag and run. Often, the space between the bridge and the edge of the map is where the player will grab the flag and run to. It has cover, and it is difficult for an enemy to see and aim for your tank in there. But, only small tanks can fit. Best you can do is have all but one tank attack, while that final tank defends. This will allow 2 tanks to clear the path for the flag carrier, and help him get away with ease. Above is a picture showing the possible routes entering a base. Advantages of Sandbox > Raised walls separating sandbox area in the center allows for easy defense while defenders hide under the raised ledges. > Plenty of places of take cover from, and easy to grab flag and run in any direction. > Supply drops not concentrated in the middle of the map. Disadvantages of Sandbox > Slower flag captures due to increased amount of area that can be used to defend > Larger distances between flags. Best Team (In a Team of 4) Weapon Choice > 1/2 Freeze, 1 Isida, 1/2 Rail/Thunder/Smoky Hull Choice > Wasp/Hornets Paint Choice > Any paints suitable for close combat, such as having protection against Isida, Firebird, Freeze, would be effective. Defense Mode: Defence in this map is key, since captures are less likely to occur due to the distantly located flags. Have your teammates hide directly under the raised ledge below the Sandbox. That area is sometimes invisible to enemies as they make a run to grab your flag. Another way to defend is to camp on the outsides of the sandbox, where there are those 90 degree walls. You can jump out at your attacking enemy, while staying still and grabbing supplies close to you. Offense Mode: Since the size of Sandbox is relatively compacted, the best method is to sweep across the map with all the players coordinated. What that means is to have 2 go up the middle, and 2 on the sides of the Sandbox. Attacking from numerous sides will surprise the enemy defenders, and hopefully, one will sneak in and grab the flag. This won't allow any to pass through their line while attacking. Therefore, it is effective in having fast and quick attacks on your enemies. Places where an 'x' is located is usually where a camper would choose to hide, and play from. Those ares are hard to aim at, as there is camoflage, and usually difficult for the opponent to shoot at without being right beside you. Conclusion Well, there you have it. Another 2 map's strategies for you to bank and add to your inventory of ideas. Hopefully, you can use these, and lead your team to a quick victory. A lot of times, you won't find teams that will help you by listening to your planning and strategies. But in those times when they will, these can help. Even if they don't listen, fill the spot with a responsible and thoughtful tanker, and fulfill the needs of the team, whatever they are. This past month, many events have occurred in the world, which ultimately created catastrophe, and sometimes some hope in our everyday lives. We know you’re busy on the battlefield, so here’s your shortcut to learning about the world around you, and letting you updated in real world news! __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Terror Attack at Boston Marathon Near the finish line of the annual Boston marathon on the 15th of April, 2 bombs exploded, and caused 3 deaths and over 280 reported injured. At 2:56 in the afternoon, 2 bombs were detonated tens of seconds apart, about 50-100 meters distant from each other on Boylston Street. Police started searching immediately for another bomb in the area, and an hour later, Police set off a third controlled explosion. Boston Police report that they have found two more explosive devices near the location of the primary blasts. 2 hours after the incident, American President Barack Obama addresses the issue in a speech. "On days like this there are no Republicans or Democrats", states President Obama. In addition, he says, "We do not know who did this or why...But make no mistake. We will get to the bottom of this" The bombs, according to Massachusetts law enforcement, are small and crudely made devices that could fit inside a backpack. The bomb was detonated by a mobile device, and was planted either before or during the race. On April 18th, photographs caught a suspect on tape, as he was walking with a backpack along stores of the marathon on the day of the bombings. This major breakthrough allowed FBI to analyze and confirm the identification of two suspects. Tamerlan Tsarnaev, and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, brothers from a refugee family that immigrated to the States in 2002. After the release of the photos, the brothers shot and killed Sean Collier of Massachusetts Institute of Technology Police Department, in the MIT campus, while he was in his police car at 10:48 on April 18th. Hours later, they were identified while driving in the vehicle, and a gunfight commenced. Hundreds of rounds were shot, while the brothers used their share of ammunition and homemade explosives. Tamerlan's ammunition supply drained, and was reportedly shot many times while his brother got away in his car. Tamerlan later died of severe injuries. Early April 19, a manhunt for Dzhokhar was immediately commenced, and a twenty-block area in Watertown was locked-down. What was done was that police were searching while people were strongly urged to remain in their homes. With the use of infrared technology, Dzhokhar was found hiding in a resident's boat in their backyard, and he was arrested at 8:42pm, ending the intense manhunt. Citizens of Watertown came out of their houses while they greeted the policeman travelling out of the city with applause and celebration. Dzhokar is charged with use of a weapon of mass destruction and with malicious destruction of property resulting in death. The result of these crimes may lead to the death penalty or life imprisonment. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ New Bird Flu Strain Discovered to Spread To Humans Quicker Than H5N1 Recently, namely 'one of the most lethal flu viruses so far' emerged from China this month, as it could easily spread from birds to humans in rapid pace. The virus is being closely monitored to see if it could easily spread from human to human, but first signs show that that is unlikely. Currently, the flu has infected more than 100 people in China. They have been severely sick, and caused the death of over 20 individuals. This virus, named H7N9, is stated that humans seem to catch the new virus from birds easier than during the H5N1 strain a decade back. World Humanitarian Organization's top influenze expert, Dr. Keiji Fukuda. Fukuda quotes, "This is definitely one of the most lethal influenza viruses we have seen so far." The strain is reported to infect birds without noticable symptoms, which leave scientists in worry of transmission between birds and humans. The virus was discovered along the East coast of China, near Shanghai. As well, Taiwan reported their first case of a 53 year old man who returned from a visit in Jiangsu, a province in Eastern China, and discovered symptoms. The source where the patients are getting sick from, is unknown. The only evidence they currently have points to live poultry markets, more specifically those of ducks and chicken. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ North Korea Nuclear Threat Scare Conflict between North Korea and South Korea date back to the Korean War, when Korea separated into its two halves about six decades ago. Lately, the United States, a major power against North Korea's invasive military action, succeeded in pushing for sanctions as punishment for North Korea's recent nuclear tests. Several months back, North Korea has performed their third nuclear test since 2006, in which the States thought was a definite threat. With the United States pressure put on the country, North Korea has been issuing constant threats towards their main enemies, the States and South Korea. A major threat issued was that the North could carry out pre-emptive nuclear strikes against the States, in which many doubted North Korea's ability to hit the States with a missile with such a great distant inbetween the two countries. However, the States have forces around Asia, and may be a target of these supposedly 'threats'. The reason for all these threats is determined by analysts as North Korea wanting aid, or it as being recognized as a nuclear power. Middle East countries have also done the same actions to make their country recognized as a nuclear power, and give their country more world recognition, such as Pakistan. At the beginning of this month, North Korea showed signs of nuclear activity by moving missiles to the shoreline, on the East coast. Security for the States as well as surrounding countries in Asia have tightened security since, and there are still threats as of now. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Syria's Ongoing Civil War Since 2011, tensions in Syria have exploded from simple disputes to a civil war. In the past few weeks, Syria's situation transformed when the war exploded back onto the media with bombings as well as the use of chemical weapons. Government called 'terrorists' are to blame according to officials, and their plot is to bring down Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. These 'terrorists' are acting with the thought that the government is bombing its own capital to be given sympathy. "They are all our children and it is sad. We are all Syrians killing each other", Umm Wasim described, one who witnessed the latest tragedy on the 23rd of April in Damascus. Syrians are hoping for international intervention, as the country's peace has been brought down by the latest bombings. Streets are described as being empty with fear, but the American government is holding back on action until they collect enough evidence of having the use of chemical weapons. Obama says, "When I am making decisions about American national security and the potential for taking additional action in response to chemical weapons use, I have to make sure I have the facts." The question of arming the rebels is still under consideration by the United Nations Security Council, and Americans are only sending non-lethal aid as of today. Such tragedies are ones that we have to be united in helping the victims and the families of the victims get on with life without their most beloved ones. We have to show support in those victims, and pray that god will seek justice in those that have the intent to harm. May everyone that sees this help in contributing their prayers to these people. Arguments are what create these tragedies, and it would be nice not to have any in this topic. Let's use this as an opportunity to pay our respects. Greatly appreciated.

Well, we all want to be productive and make the most out of every experience and our time. Whether it's on a relaxing weekend, or just a normal busy weekday, we want to accomplish the most amount of things in the least amount of time, and have the best time you could doing those things. So, here's my piece of advice on how to maximize your experience on Tanki. If you enjoy the experience of playing lower ranked battles, you can maximize your gameplay experience, and vice versa. Here's an article that helps you have fun and make the most out of it! Divided into two sections of 5, let this help you relax and cruise through your rank with ease. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 5 Ways To Make the Most Out of your Gaming Experience Make sure you're focused on the battle. Lots of times, when players are distracted, they regret that they were after an important event happens in a battle. Most of the time, it's gold drops, and no one wants to miss those. Having other applications or items open will also cause your computer speed to slow down, and affect your performance. Just close those, clear your RAM, and then, you'll have smoother gameplay. Assess your FPS and manage your graphics options in the settings to make sure you have the best quality of gaming as you can. If you have all your graphic options on, it may cause your FPS to rapidly drop, and affect your overall performance. This way, you will be missing not only shots, but other important battle events. If you want smooth gameplay, FPS should not be under 30 FPS in my opinion. If you want more FPS, just uncheck everything after deselecting 'automatic graphics quality'. This will ensure you will have the fastest speed, so you don't miss a single thing! Free up your internet while you are joining a game. Internet is easily diminished in speed if it is used in more than one page, so closing, or just pausing downloads and other pages would easily speed up your loading speed as well as decreasing the amount of lags. For example, if you have a 200kb/s internet speed, if you split it in half, it drastically decreases to 100kb/s, which in some cases would create a lot longer of a load time. Long load times are not a good thing, with the new team kick system in effect, you would be kicked. Don't randomly jump for crystals whenever you see one drop. Not only does self-destructing take more than ten seconds of your game time, a gold box might drop while you're flipped, and you could miss it. As desperate as you are for crystals (and I'm really desperate...), jumping is proven to be a bad idea. It could only lead to frustration, anger, and other emotions leading to stroke and heart diseases. Discover the environment in which you find most relaxing to play in. Some tankers like to listen to the radio/playlist while playing, some just like the original game sounds, and some like to focus in silence. If you can focus on the battle and listen to your favorite songs at the same time, then it would help you succeed in having a good experience. If you can't focus, and often get distracted, it would probably not be a good idea to have it on. As well, what you play in, such as where you sit, how you see the screen, and the position of your body should not be in a slouch position, since time will wear your muscles down. Take a break every few minutes to relax your muscles, so you can game for even longer periods of time. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 5 Ways To Speed your Way Through your Rank Score multiplier passes are quite helpful in making your way through the rank much easier. They are those badge like items that you used to get when you were a recruit, or when you have been away for a month or more. They increase the score you get by 30%, making it 1.3x the amount of experience you normally get. This way, you get lots more experience for your battles, even if your battle score doesn't change. Mathematically, you get another kill for every 3.33 kills you make, and another flag capture for every 3.33 captures you make. This works out to helping you sift through your rank 1/3 faster! (But only if you battle on a regularly basis) If you want to rank quicker, you need to set yourself a goal to achieve. It should be reasonable, so you can aim for it and hopefully be able to reach it by the end of your estimated time. This will hopefully motivate you to battle a lot more instead of being distracted. A decent goal for anyone would be at least 1k or 2k experience daily. 2k is my goal, and I've stayed up for quite a few hours battling to exceed my goal. From a Lieutenant's perspective, it works. : ) Be reasonable with which battles you join. If the battles are for higher ranks, they may not be the most suitable for you. Those battles would limit your ability to perform at a maximum, and won't allow you to get experience as quickly as before. Best choice of battles ranks-wise is if they are of similar rank. If you join a high rank battle, you would easily be frustrated by being killed, not because of insufficient skill, but because of insufficient equipment. The best battles that should help you are the ones lower than your rank, but it is not a must, since some drug battles would not be a good choice either. It really depends on your own battle taste, map, combination and ability to drug. As well as reflecting on your capabilities, you should also reflect on the combination you bring into a battle. If it is a small map and you bring a Shaft in, it would probably not be the best idea. Depending on the size of the map, choose the best suitable gun for the battle, to ensure you will be able to kill with the most efficient methods. Isida, Firebird, Freeze in the smallest maps, Thunder, Smoky in the slightly larger maps, and preferably Shaft or Rail in the largest maps. But in the end, it is up to the player's choice! Don't waste your time doing unnecessary things. A huge part of this is being less active on forum, putting less time in looking for a battle, and spending more time playing the actual battle. Some people have distinct battle tastes, and only join battles of a certain rank, map, mode, (no) supplies etc, but the only thing that matters is your personal performance in the battle. If you can achieve points in the battle, and there is a chance you can finish the battle on the winning side, don't find another one. Looking for a good battle takes much more time that you would lose in experience, than just staying in that game that is slightly flawed. Conclusion Well, that was 10 ways to help you relax in the game while getting your rank up. Taken straight from personal opinions, these may not be suitable for everyone, but these methods helped me to make me what I am today. Just find yourself in battles more than wandering off doing other things, and you will be cruising through your rank in no time. See you in the battlefield!

If you think that crystals aren't added, you can email help@tankionline.com with proof that you have bought the crystals. If you don't have proof, it's not a big deal, just email and see what they'll say. Crystal purchases are usually instant for me, so I'm not sure if a problem has occured.
